  • App works great, prefer Alexa enabled

Really love our Norman shutters. The remote works great as well as this app. The only real negative is that when we purchased, we were told Alexa would work with the app and shutters. It is not compatible with Alexa. Maybe the developers could work on that.
  • Does as it should

App does as it should and works well, but were some issues with firmware updates to the hub which stopped it working.
Would be nice to see homekit support, I would purchase a new hub for this or matter support.
  • Poorly designed app

Of all the ways one could design an app for the functionality needed, this is about as awful of a design possible. Scheduling is horrid part of the app. I add a sbhedile I expect to be presented with scheduling parameters first, not a scene first. Just a crap app, not updated in 2 years and no Android version. I wish I had purchased a different brand.

  • Needs to be updated. Works intermittently.

When it works, it is great, especially if your shutters are out of reach and you set a schedule. But even though I have my shutters on a fairly simple schedule around dawn and sunset, sometimes it does not open or close the shutters. Then you have go into the app to open or close them.

However, the app does not automatically connect to the app when it is opened. You have to connect to the hub first. Then after that connects you can control the shutters. At that point is faster to simply use the Norman Smart Dial.

Norman needs to hire a few programmers to get this app to 2022 and Norman standards. Please, the shutters and hubs are not cheap. Please update this app!

  • Terrible

The app simply doesn’t work. Spent a lot of shutters for this feature and it works randomly on shutters.
Plus the tech support is nonexistent. Been chasing emails and people for weeks now and no further forward.
  • Setup and functionality poor

Setup was a pain - I can open and close - schedules and other options are there - the buttons are grayed out - so I can’t touch them- to set a schedule hub only works wired - doesn’t integrate with HomeKit Alexa Google or anything else - which was told would in the sales process -
  • App constantly crashing

When the device is auto locked and after unlocking when best view is selected for a shutter app closes itself and have to reopen. Very frustrating. Also the hub firmware is 2.0.5.3 and there is no option to update the firmware of the hub. Hub is wired connected to the router and it does not auto update either.

  • App crashes

App crashes on late model iPad A2152 when you try and use it after the iPad has been idle for a while.

    No rotation support, only portrait.

No cross device support, only apple so not everyone in our house can use it.
  • Fixed issue

The app was unresponsive for a bit but I contacted the manufacturer and it is working perfectly now
  • Feels like a late bata version

A pain to set up, but works once it is setup. Slow response when setting up. Yes I’m right next the hub (wired connection), which is 10 feet from the shutters and the Wifi is 15 feet from the shutters.

Dumb that it asks you every time you start the app if you want to go into setup mode or use. After initial setup needs to default into use mode, with a menu option to setup.

No API to allow a python/batch script to operate the shutters. Norman not responsive when asked about an API. Referred me to local installer. Installer is just able to hang the shutters, not able to program or answer technical questions. If I get enough time may try using wire shark to decode operation.

Not clear where the schedule created to open shutters resides, cloud (which I hate for privacy reasons) , on phone or on the hub.
