Reviews of HexRoller

  • Addicting

I love playing the physical game but hate having to add my score every time I play. This is exactly like the physical game! The scoring is done perfectly and I like the different game modes (multiplayer, 7 & 8, dice only). I think this app is very refined, I just wish there were 2 separate scoreboards for the different modes. I saw on review saying the straights aren’t scored right but they definitely are correct. The developers did a nice job with this app.

    Developer Response

Thanks a lot for your feedback. We are glad you like it. I think we can provide separate leaderboards soon for Game Center and a little bit later locally.
  • Smart, fun game

I loved this developer’s game Noch Mal!, and this one looked good, too, so I thought I’d give it a try. I love it!

Once you get the hang of it after a few games, you realize this easy to play game actually has some great risk/reward strategy involved that keeps each game interesting and challenging. And it plays in just 5 minutes, which makes it addictive, you always want to try one more time. Perfect for busy people like me.

The design and UI are gorgeous, and there are no ads or IAP. It uses almost no storage and barely uses battery. This is how games should be made and monetized, and I appreciate developers who do this right.

Thank you for another great game!

  • Scoring seems bugged.

I know how to play but I cant make any sense of how the “straight” scoring works. Are we counting right to left, left to right? Seems like a bug. There’s no straight but a number not associated with a straight appears in the scoring section. Can you provide a better example?

There also needs to be 2 scorboards, 1 for each mode. You have 1 scoreboard, 2 modes. We cant tell which mode was played for our scores appearing in the scoreboard. Please add separate scoreboards for the 2 different modes.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your feedback! We will try to make the straights more clear - in general they work the same way as in the physical game. We will add a second leaderboard in the next update.
