Come on
Response from developer
I hoped it was clear enough with the App Store listing "Unlock all riddles" under in-app purchases and the app's description explicitly stating the amount of free and paid riddles. If you expected such information elsewhere, please edit this review with more info and I can try to improve it (obviously, I can only change what the App Store's format allows me to).
Bad
Response from developer
Indeed, it has 6 free levels so you can get a sense of what the game is like before deciding to buy (unlike premium games). It's a lot like a sample at the ice-cream shop or a test ride at the car dealer. It sounds like you didn't enjoy the game much, so I consider it a good thing you were able to try it for free! Just too bad I got a bad review out of it :)
Pay to play
Response from developer
Indeed, the first levels are free, the later ones can be unlocked with a single in-app purchase. This way, players like yourself don't have to buy upfront (like with premium games), but can see if they like the game first. I'm happy you enjoyed the free part of the game. Its totally fine if you don't want to buy this game, but consider supporting your favourite games where you can, so those game developers can make more games like it!
I hate u
Response from developer
From one person to another, I can tell you it also sucks when you lovingly make a game, make part of it free so people can try before they buy, and then someone tells you they hate you for it. If you'd rather not download games with paid content, I can recommend checking the app description or in-app purchase list before you buy. I still hope you enjoyed the free levels.
Very interesting game
Even after purchasing the package
Response from developer
There are 24 levels in total, and there may be more if I can afford to make time for it! Therefore, thanks for purchasing the full unlock to support small developers like myself!
:(
Response from developer
As you say and as indicated in the App Store, it's free to try and pay to unlock all levels. You say you get this a lot and that makes sense: game developers can only make games if it generates and income. I understand you would rather have games be entirely free, but if you can afford it, consider supporting your favourite games, so their makers can make more like them!
Great game
Response from developer
You are right, this isn't a game you can play endlessly—like, say, Candy Crush. I've tried to make a game where each level is its own little story, without rehashing the same idea in dozens (or hundreds) of levels. As a solo game developer trying to do something different, I really appreciate your support! I hope to find time in the future to create more riddles!
