Great app for home workouts
Great companion to workout with my Bowflex C6. Took some figuring out, but once you know what the colors and the graphics mean in each workout, it’s great to workout at home. You can connect to the bike’s system to see RPM/Cadence in the app and separately to Bowflex bike’s forearm HR monitor to see your heart rate in the app while working out.
And I can confirm that it also works with 3rd party music apps and not just Spotify (the app has some sort of native Spotify integration, which I guess plays music that syncs to the effort needed for the workout). Specifically I used it with Jio Saavn without any issues. If you allow it access to your Spotify (even a free account) the workouts sync well with the playlist, including some that count down before Tabata rest and pick up to the upbeat music before Tabata effort (Nice!)
If you allow it to connect to Strava when it asks the first time it will sync properly. If you give it access later it will only start syncing new workouts. I guess the app itself is not natively maintaining any history.
The app itself doesn’t connect to Apple Health. However if you connect your Strava account, then IC app will sync with Strava, which then can push to Apple Health (provided you give it the access it wants). Roundabout, but at least it works.
Kudos to the Intelligent Cycling team for putting together this awesome app.

Hi Thank you for taking time to create a review. The issue with Spotify should be fixed the 16th September (mid last week). Regards the IC Team.

Thanks a lot :) /Brian
Preposterous slow sign up just to use spin bike👎🏻
A) Get on bike and use great app on bike
Vs This dumb app:
1. Download this bloated clunky crap app on mobile in gym (IF gym gives you good wi fi or-use your own data allowance for your 3/4/5g access!)
2. Sign up with email.
3. Go to your email app to confirm email.
4. Go back to this crap app and sign up.
5. Use crap app on your mobile.
6. Note how crap app looks old and does not show Watts, heart rate, pedal efficiency.
This app is for gyms who want to employ untrained instructors to use their sw and poor system for classes and capture email and personal data of all users of the class.
Real old school - as user friendly and welcome as those annoying apps that you have to use to pay to use different car parks.

Hi Bardcountry Thank you for taking your time to make a review. We are sorry that you do not like our app. Your review came in March 7th and we launched a new version of the app just 5 days later with the following updates: 1) Easier to download 2) You do not need to confirm your email to login (you will have 2 weeks to do that) 3) We added connectivity so you can connect heart rate, power and cadence. Once again, thanks for taking your time to give feeback. Stay Safe.
