Paid full price a couple of years ago for complete library. Recently reinstalled it on my new phone and the (new) developers want $8 a month subscription fees. BS

I’d have paid for this previously free app on its own, but I’m not paying for another subscription. I’m not interested in any of the other titles, so I guess I’m done playing Vectrex on my iPad.
Developers got greedy?
Why did this move to a different subscription service? Whoever decided this obviously made a poor decision.
There’s no way I’m paying $5/month to play Vectrex games occasionally. It’s great to relive memories (I had one of these as a kid), but don’t play often enough to justify $5/month. I’m not going to bother signing up and canceling every time either.
Please make this a stand alone purchase! You worked too hard on this to let it die like this with a subscription service.

Goodbye Vectrex
A free game I have had for years that I can no longer pay without a $5 monthly subscription? I would gladly have bought the game but not interested in subscribing to a game club, especially at this ridiculous price. Listen to all your unhappy customers!
Just let us buy the game
Like many other reviewers I’m frustrated that a great free game now costs $5 a month to play. Just let us buy it and be done with it. It’s ridiculous how many subscription games there are now. I had a Vectrex as a kid and would like to indulge in nostalgia, but not for a recurring cost every month.
Game Club Subscription?
Would have gladly paid $15 flat for this, but a $5 subscription fee every month? You’re crazy. Such a great thing ruined by such stupid greed and a drive to offer “convenience” and “variety” that only serves to ruin the whole experience. Have fun making literally 0 money would you at least could have made some if you hadn’t gone with the subscription model. Don’t bother replying to this unless its to say that you’ve removed the subscription and gone with a flat price. What a tragic failure of a great thing.

Like some others, I re-downloaded this after a few years and now they want to charge a subscription to play it - no thanks..
Unhappy with the change
I too am unhappy with this change. I would rather pay a flat price for the app than do this monthly payment setup. While I will miss playing the games, this comes across as more of a cash grab than anything else. I can’t justify spending a monthly amount on this app. A shame that the designers went to this format. As a result I have deleted my app.

Vectrex
This game used to be free but is now $4.99 A MONTH and included all games I used to play for nothing. The excellent Star Trek game is now retitled Starship. I’m sure it plays the same but can’t tell since I have to fork out $5 to find out. Fine. BUT what’s missing from basic play is the wonderful Battlezone. For that reason it’s only getting 2 stars from me. I’m sure it’s buried there somewhere. Since I infrequently play video games, doling out $5 a month is crazy to me. Hard pass.

Great App, Terrible Subscription
The app works well but not work $5 every month to be apart of the game thing. Sad you just can’t buy it on its own.
