Woodworking game changer

I have now been using this app for over a month. I continue to be amazed at how many times I refer to it, and how little I refer to all the cheat cheats I have laying around my shop. This app was very well thought out both from a user interface and from a functionality standpoint. I strongly encourage any maker that needs to deal with fractions, decimals, metric, conversions, etc. To download the trial and play with it a while.

My Most Used App

This is definitely my most used app on my phone. I install high end cabinetry down to the 32nd each day and to mess up on calculations could cost the company tons of money, this thing has saved me numerous of times!

Finer granularity required - Update

With the exception of the round up, round down feature (which is fantastic) the calculator is comparable to the free calculators already out there. If the round up, round down, granularity could be changed from 1/ 16th, to a 32nd, or better yet a 64th I would buy it in a heartbeat.

The ability to change granularity is present. I just didn’t look hard enough. The rounding feature puts this product head and shoulders above others.

Hey there, Jake here. Thank you for the feedback! You actually can change your rounding precision setting by tapping on the cog in the bottom left corner, and you can select 1/2, 1/4 1/8ths, 1/16ths, 32nds or 64ths. Let me know if I can improve the design at all to make that more apparent, I'm sorry that you weren't able to find it. Also let me know if that doesn't meet your needs, and thanks again for checking it out!

I use the other fraction calculator on the App Store frequently that has a similar input style but I liked the automatic conversions and rounding features here so I thought I’d check this out. But paying a subscription for a calculator? Give me a break. Is my ruler going to start charging by the inch next?

Great for Getting Started in the Game!

I’m definitely green when it comes to woodworking and craftsmanship of any kind. That being said this app was a life saver. I recently had a baby and wanted to build a crib as I couldn’t find one that wasn’t cheaply made or outrageously expensive. Maker Calc made the math extremely simple and made it so I didn’t have to do the tape measure math that racks my brain 😅 totally recommend to any fellow craftsmen/women out there!

Wow!

Even if you just adding fractions this calculator works! You need to understand that the top part of fractions is for the top fraction numbers and the denominator is the bottom part of the fractions. But after i got that i could figure out any number! I sew, and i do projects that skyways include weird fractions. This will be very valuable!

Makes precision easy

So much simpler than trying to do fraction calculations on paper or a standard calculator, and easy to use!

Great app for quick measurements

I have really enjoyed using this app so far. I just do woodworking as a hobby but this has made figuring out measurements quick and easy. I’ve never been a math person, especially with fraction so this has been a very useful. Great job creating this!

Game changer!

No more fraction-decimal charts, googling conversions, or having to bust out the TI-89! If you do anything in the maker realm or maker adjacent, this is the calculator you need. Love the layout and simplicity. Great for CNC, woodworking, 3D printing, and metal work.
