Worst tour!
I live in DC and wanted a hands off tour and info for out of town guests. CONFUSING!! Last minute directions so turning left was impossible, as they always said to be in the slow lane. DC traffic is anything but slow, and if you are going to fast or there is no place to pull over (all of DC) the info on the building stops and you miss out. LOTS of bad turns and no arrows on the map to know which direction to go. Gave up on tour about 1/4 of the way thru. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!Show lessTerri L Wise

So sorry you had difficulties using our tour. This is a very popular tour, used by many not experiencing similar problems. The tour is built on going the speed limit or less. Thus the reason it says to stay in the slower lane. You mention the narration stopping before it is finished. This is because you got to the next location too quickly, and the new narration overrides the previous. The tour map does have a route line that shows where you must turn, and a GPS marker showing your current location. As with any GPS car guidance system it is helpful to have someone else in the car watching the map for turns. We appreciate your input and hope you will try the tour again. Because the DC traffic can be horrible, you might try making a dry run of the tour before you next guests arrive. Best. SelfTour Staff.Not supported by Ios13

This is a very complete citywide tour and our goal was to give an overview of key sites. Since the car is always moving, we maximized the narration based on time available at each location at a safe speed. Many have enjoyed the tour. We do thank you for bringing your comments to our attention.Worth the money!
I am glad we paid the money as we had about 2.5 hours in DC and this was a great app with my kids (7 & 4) in the backseat. A couple of hints:
I would recommend pre-listening to some of the sites ahead of time and familiarizing yourself with the routes.
The app doesn’t do a great job of helping you get back on track and doesn’t integrate with Apple Maps or show up on your car’s dashboard (with CarPlay). Therefore make sure you have a passenger that can be staring at the map and helping you navigate.
More integration with Apple and Google Maps would be the suggestion to make this a 5 rather than a 4 star app. But totally worth it and better for our schedule!Show lesswhhysjtdg

Our SelfTour team thanks you for your constructive comments. We have just released a new revised version of the tour that addresses some of your concerns. Unfortunately CarPlay does not yet accommodate Apps like ours, but we have heard they may do so in the future. We also agree and urge that the user take a look at the tour before using it. We have been told by many that this is very helpful to get a feel of where you're going before leaving. We do thank you for your comments and are pleased you did enjoy the experience.
