False advertising
So far, the books I have started are good.
However, TapRead is advertised as a free web novel platform. But unlike other GENUINELY FREE platforms, TapRead is essentially not really free. You have to pay to get coins to continue reading. And it is going to cost you hundreds of dollars just to read a single web novel that contains hundreds of chapters.
So, what else is this but false advertising?Show lesssmooth&easy
Love this app
I absolutely love this app. I discovered Asian media during lockdown and finding legal English versions of Chinese novels is rough finding your app was a godsend. I only hope that you expand into print media in the future I would love to be able to purchase print versions of my favorite stories. If I had any issues it would be that I can’t be logged in on both my phone and my tablet at the same time meaning I lose my place constantly when I reread stories while waiting for updates. I am eagerly waiting for updates from my favorite author Liang Shuang. She has three completed stories and two that are pending translation one that hasn’t been updated since June and the other hasn’t been updated since the beginning of August. As I’m nosy I know she also has two more stories one completed and one in progress that haven’t even been started to be translated yet on the zongheng app so I also eagerly am waiting for those to be released as well.
