Reviews of Tiny Room Story

  • Fantastic!!

This is one of the better escape room series I have played. The levels and puzzles within are challenging enough that you may get frustrated at times but most definitely solvable which is great imo. There was only a few times within the 15+ chapters where I had to use the hints and thought the way to solve a puzzle was a little funky and I didn’t think I would have gotten it in my own ever, but again it was very few times. The game studio is based out of Cyprus so the English translation in the text is a little botched at times but it’s really not an issue. The story is enthralling and all ties together at the end, so you don’t have to worry about any loose ends. 10/10 recommend (:
  • Little to no redeeming qualities

The puzzle game isn't necessarily hard, its the having to go through a maze to get to the right room thats the problem, theres nothing more frustrating than knowing where i have to go and not being able to find the room knowing you were JUST there…. The map they provide is fine if not for the fact that its hard to use when you can spin the rooms to see each wall….

WHICH REMINDS ME!! It gives you a tutorial on how to click around in the rooms to look at each wall and zoom out of items when you are done with the item but it is entirely broken/unresponsive.

Id say the game had a good concept with decent puzzles but if i wanted to be lost somewhere, id just drive around my town without a gps. Its a hard pass for me. The game made me more mad than anything else and it wasn't even the one thing that SHOULD be frustrating (the puzzles).
  • Great game, but directional interface could use improvement and get rid of the paywall please

Don’t get me wrong, this is among the best clue-based, point-and-click mystery games I’ve played. The story is intricate and there are well-thought out elements to the game, and there isn’t a lot of “surprise! A plot point that makes no sense!” moments.
    Now onto the negatives.
The directional interface is janky at times. Sometimes the item I wanted to interact with doesn’t do anything or I hit something else entirely, but that’s what happens when gaming on a phone I guess. Additionally there isn’t a compass so you don’t know where you came from, especially in the later levels where directions and passageways are many (without spoiling anything). Finally you can’t even access the last chapter(s) without paying money. I don’t want to play something that I need to buy the “complete” version of. I just want to play the game.
