Reviews of ParkPassport

  • Very rough around the edges

A beta app, with promise. Idea is great. Some issues: Map interaction is very rough. Zooming around with fingers doesn’t work well. Searching for a park will bring you to the underlying map’s park location, not the app’s clickable park icon. Parks are crowdsourced, so you’ll find, for example, a “local” Joshua Tree National Park correctly located and the real, national one located at one of the entrances. Passport stamps require a date of visit and will default to the date you add the stamp. Why do you have to remember the exact date?? Nice idea though. I hope this app gets some real investment at some point.
  • Doesn’t work

I’ve had this app for over a year now, it won’t let me register a password, so I’ve never been able to enter it. The subject matter is of interest to me and the graphics seem good, but I’ve never been able to use it, though it was just a glitch at first but it’s been on going for over a year now.

  • Too many issues

Great idea. However, it is next to impossible to click on a park that you have visited and add to your passport.
