Grinding game
I’ve played this game for almost 10 months. It’s great, and can be relaxing and there’s a lot to enjoy from events to making friends or just exploring. However , it is a grinding game. It’s hard to save up and keep enough candles for the amount of events happening. While there is items “free” you can buy with earned in game currency, they are often too much, forcing you to buy candles with IAP. The IAP items are also increasingly expensive, a clothing item for a game character should not be $20+ for any reason in my opinion, especially when there are 3+ items around that price at the same time.
Improvements I’d suggest are either lifting the amount of candles(currency) that a player can get a day, or lower the cost. IAP cost is definitely excessive as well.
There has also been a problem where creative players found ways to make farming easier, but the company took them away so the only way to get candles is by grinding a few hours a day, going through the same maps every day. It can get really repetitive which is nice sometimes, but if the game is really about connection and relaxing the push to grind constantly for cosmetics takes away from that.
Otherwise, I love this game and the people I have met on my journey and would highly recommend that if you get it, don’t burn yourself out over cosmetics or fear of missing out. Take in the scenery, make friends and enjoy the events without letting prices stress you out.

The game and company
The game itself is absolutely heartwarming and genuinely terrific, the story and how we can interact with others players and having to light their candles to see them is very unique, but, I think my only complaint lies with the company itself, the travelling spirits which *some* cost 200+ candles to get their accessories and caps and such, the absolutely and utterly WILD cost for iap, I literally logged in just to see an ingame instrument costs 30$, reminder, this is instruments only purpose is to be PLAYED, why is it 30$! for that much money I’d be expecting something else to come with it! And we haven’t even talked about the daily light, we can get a maximum of 20+ candles a day I’m pretty sure, But some players can’t even get 10 because of burn out because how LONG it takes to even candle run (that’s me), it can take up to a few hours to do a full candle run and I’m sure a lot of casual players out there don’t want to spend that long on a game. I love the game but I definitely think they need to increase the daily light, and tone down the prices because 30$ for an instrument in a GAME is absolutely insane to me, it’s a lovely game but I think the company itself doesn’t listen to their players enough or… at all. 😵💫 but, that’s my reason I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Not bad but…
The artstyle is what drew me in to this game. Its something i fall in love with everytime i see it, but what dispells me from playing further are the mechanics of this game. The camera control is janky, the items are overpriced, the objectives are unclear and hard to understand sometimes. Grinding is repetitive because you have no choice but to replay the same levels and only pay to play players get the best of the cosmetic choices… why is it so hard

Great but time consuming
Ive been playing sky for a quite some time now, but there is one problem i keep coming across, and thats not having enough candles and hearts to purchase the accessories i want! They are way too expensive and overpriced, especially for hearts that after you buy all of them from spirits you need to get them solely from friends, which can be extremely difficult for people like me who don’t have friends who play, and struggle to make them in game. There is also a gambling aspect of the game regarding the permanent height spells which is just plain annoying for people who want a certain height. Its just not needed. And i think i speak for half the sky kid community saying that. Overall, yes there are some annoying parts in the game, and it can be frustrating and time consuming depending on what type of person you are (Collecting accessories or just playing for fun) but the game itself is beautiful and has multiple collaborations and cool accessories to collect. (Pls Thatgamecompany, just make things cheaper and hearts easier to collect 🙇♀️🙏😭). I love this game though, even with its flaws and i recommend it greatly if your ready for farming everyday! =)

Tgc, you need to change sooner or later…
I’ve played this game for a while, and I think something Desperately needs to change, I do hope you see this; and at least Think about it. It’s just cosmetics nowadays, and I’m honestly fed up with it. A new season only adds a disconnected area: my first suggestion is to make the world feel more alive. Make the areas blend better. I want to feel like I can get completely lost and immersed in the world; not going to areas to get candles to get another cosmetic. This brings me to my second suggestion: add more Monsters! The only ones we have are the dark dragons, which do have a unique design and gimmick, but you have to go out of your way to encounter them. And the crabs are barely a threat and don’t pose a unique threat. Different dark creatures that pose different threats would be amazing. My third suggestion is to make the darkness Feel like a threat. If we’re supposed to fight against it… Make it actually feel like a threat! You’re going to have to change, sooner or later: It’s only a matter of time before enough people become fed up. This isn’t how I want to see the game go. Even once, try to think about what I’ve said…

Please Don't glimpse over this, Sky’s a beautiful game, costing.. absolutely nothing. It's completely free! but there's something way more important.

His Son Jesus came as a sacrifice for us. He took the wrongdoings and immorality of the world as he died- And after He died, rose back to life! Therefore, He gave us the option of redemption. I hate it
I bought the pass for seasons of duets, I was finally playing sky after a long time and saw that I really liked the cosmetic, so I quicky bought the pass and calculated that I’d barely make the items I want if I grind everyday. One day, I couldnt log in, it gave me a glitch and after half an hour of trying to refresh and stuff, a friend of mine told me I could try reinstalling the game. I did. And it presented me with another error when I try to log in using game centre. It says “Create New sky account? If you want to play with your existing sky account, please cancel this process. First sign in to your other device and link your existing sky account with this new login method under the accounts menu, then return here.” This confuses me because I only play on my ipad, there was no other device I played in that still has the acc opened? Loged in? So I contacted support, I thought we were making progress bc they asked me about my sky id, and it seems they can still see my old account that has a lot of progress. But they once again told me to use game centre to log in (???) If I could log in using my game centre, I would have done it? The whole problem was with my game centre. And since it took a long time for all these interaction to happen, it was too late for me to utilise my season pass anyways. I got so mad and now I gave up the game. I cant believe I spent some money on this game.

Wholesome and wonderfully made
Hi ok so this game is awesome, it is so cozy and the community is so friendly. People who complain non-stop about this game need to stop (sorry about that pun thing) I know some games can have bugs or things people are mad about, but for that to start being a premise of a game that is so wonderful beautiful and amazing is honestly annoying. If you do not like the game stop playing. But I just want to say this game is very fun, yes it could do with more stuff to do but otherwise it is amazing I would suggest less events all the time like Maybye one season at a time with a traveling spirit is enough. The days of things can wait until the period where there is no ongoing season. Just so that there is a more of a stress free environment. But otherwise no complaints I have been playing for about 2 1/5 years now and I have loved every single moment. Though I do wish you could refund objects like if you don’t really like it you can give the item back and get your candles back you know? Also to be able to wear multiple head pieces or having a backpack to store certain clothes and accessories would be nice as well. But I love this game and I recommend it to everyone, stay true to the game and stop complaining it is way better then most games anyway. Maybe I’m bias, play this game its awesome!!! And everyone is so nice (besides for one person I met) but that is out of hundreds anyways, have a fun time playing this game!!!!!

I used to play this game all the time and make friends from all over the world (I made a few different accounts because I would forget old ones), but this app brings back so much Nostalgia.
