Disruptive Pop-Up Ads
After years of playing I’m abandoning this game. All of a sudden ads are popping up incessantly in the middle of playing a game. This happens about every 20 seconds. I’m able to quickly close it, but the frequency takes the fun out of playing. I’ll check back in a week or so to see if it was a problem they were able to fix. Otherwise, goodbye!Show lessLeftypj
Great game, but there’s a new problem!
Hi! I’ve played this for several years now and thoroughly enjoy it! At first I thought I’d get bored as the “new” words it gave us were too simple, and I was quite familiar with them. But as time passed, the vocabulary words became far more complex and some are really obscure, and I began to really enjoy it. That said, a new problem cropped up for the first time this week:::every time I try to play, the game is disrupted by a McDonald’s ad popping up; sometimes 10-12 times during the game, making it extremely hard to play! Need to have a choice of level to start!
I've been playing this game for years, but had to delete the app when I was having problems with it working after upgrading. I was at a high expert level at that time. Good grief! I now have to start over with a first grader level of "ART, CAT, CAR"??? So I started over again (how terribly boring can you get?), gained a "gift" which I didn't need, but couldn't go on until I claimed it. Didn't want to use it, but it wouldn't let me continue. Come on! Make a game for us educated folk that want to start at a PhD level! Give us a choice. I wish I could go back to where I was before. Very frustrated and disgusted.Show lessgimmvde

I have enjoyed this game but there are some things that make me unhappy. First, the letter combos are very repetitive so the puzzle words are very repetitive. This makes the game less challenging. For example, puzzles with an a, e and r always have the words ear and era in it. I often have lots of bonus words that would have made a better puzzle instead of the same old words. Second, there’s hardly any worthwhile earned bonuses. I still don’t know what earning a crown (by solving the daily puzzle plus a second one the same day over 5 days) does for me. I also don’t know what the bonus words in each puzzle do for me. Also, I think it’s ridiculous that no matter how many games I play, when a bonus comes up along my journey path, all I earn is a single letter hint. That is unsatisfactory., especially since they are few and far between. Finally, my biggest gripe is when I make a word and it doesn’t go into the puzzle but it goes in later if I try it again or most likely have used a letter hint to find out the missing word is one I tried earlier. I really don’t like it when I end up using a letter hint to find out it’s a word I already tried.Show lessSusanF2013

Puzzle 57, "ret" (to soak) should have qualified as a bonus word but didn't. It's often used in crossword puzzles.
Other than that I'm enjoying the game so far.HeatherERD
Good game but crashes
I would probably give 4 or even 5 stars but it crashes regularly and must be restarted. Even had to reboot my pad a few times. The ads are not too annoying and the puzzles fun to solve. I see other reviews from a couple of years ago that say the same. The problem has obviously not been fixed.Highway Bubba
What happened?!
I have been playing this game for a long time, now, if I use a hint of any kind, it kicks me out.
Is this because of Halloween?

Love the game, but hate, hate, hate the ads for Royal Match. I find them offensive. AND if we didn't download it the first 150 times why would they think we would at 151. Ditch them.Vegas.over

Since I'm not paying for this game I expect to see ads but, it would be nice not to see them so frequently.

Weaker rewards
I’ve been playing this for a couple of years. It’s always been the most miserly of the games I play, with 5 days of puzzles to earn a crown, and only 3 of 5 crowns with rewards. But now, my ‘reward’ is constantly wallpaper. How useless! I every close to quitting this game once and for all!Zeeba 333
