After restarting both Hue Bridges, router and iPhone. This app still cannot connect to either bridge. The error says no internet connection. Surprising how the official Hue app has no problem connecting. Whatever save your money for an app that works better!!

Widgets don’t work - rubbish
The element of this app that I used the most was the widgets, now they are useless, and almost impossible to set up. Even if one manages to set them up, they don’t work. I used them to tell me sensor temperatures, and it’s currently around 3 degrees outside, and the app even tells me this, but the widget records the temperature as 14.6 degrees… It’s just crazy, and totally careless and amateur development.

Adding automations to my hue tap switches does not work. The app won't save when pressing the save button. A "save" spinner just spins forever without saving anything
Absolutely tops Hue’s own app.
Hue now requires you to update your firmware and create a mandatory cloud account to manage local IOT hardware in their app. Their app is truly terrible and hue is a worthless company for that predatory behavior. This app lets you decline the update and manage your devices that are IN YOUR HOME without having to talk to hue’s servers. As it should be.

Love the October 2024 update
First, ignore anyone whining about needing to pay for this app to use your Hue bulbs. That’s not true and this app isn’t from Philips. Complain about shortcomings of the official app on the official app. That said, I’m a Hue user going back five years and two houses. When I moved I absolutely did not want to deal with the limitations of the official Hue app any longer, and tried several third-party apps. This was the best one of the bunch. Every bulb in my house is Hue, with a mix of bulb types (white, color, Edison) and though I did the setup in the Hue app, I use this one for everything that isn’t scheduled or on a Hue switch. When I went in to override my front porch light for Halloween, I noticed that the color adjustment is easier to get to, which I’m thrilled about.

Scam
This is an unbelievable rip off. You pay all this money for the lights and the hub only for them to charge more money in this app for basic smart light functionality. You can’t even use your voice assistant without paying for it. This is absolutely disgusting and a total disgrace. Not only should you not use this app you should absolutely not buy any hue lights ever. I will be returning mine immediately. Everybody involved in the decision to charge money for basic functionality in this app should be fired and should never be employed again. Disgusting greed on display.

It used to work great.
There is a bad bug now that makes anything not HUE black out on the screen. Can’t read titles of rooms, zones or the hub.
