Description of Xenial Shell

Transcend POS… Xenial is a complete cloud restaurant management platform. From customer orders to powerful cloud reporting, Xenial has you covered front-to-back and inside-out. Simple, affordable and powerful – Xenial is enterprise power made smartphone easy. If you run a single location or an entire large enterprise, Xenial will keep you focused on food, brand and customer experience, not babysitting a POS system. The Xenial app is free to download but it does require a monthly subscription to activate and use per store location. With the basic subscription plan you get: -Ordering -Dynamic menus -Localized sales tax engine -Reporting -Time clock -Payment connection -Payroll connection For a little more each, monthly – you can add: +Kitchen management +Scheduling +Inventory +Instant data & alerts +Manager log & tasks +B2C CRM +Stored value (gift cards) +Loyalty +Customer engagement +Email campaigns +Single-use coupons. All data is backed up to the cloud and gives individual store controls and aggregated reporting and data to single and multi-unit operators. The Xenial app runs locally at the restaurant and provides ordering, menus, cash management, payment integration, time clocking, local reports and kitchen display management (extra, add on). You pay one fixed monthly price. You also get to load Xenial on as many devices to run your store for that single price. We’ve killed per terminal fees. 2 terminals? One price. 4 terminals? Same price. 20 terminals? Same price! Xenial is “bulletproof”, even if the internet goes down. Xenial apps all share data on your local network. Advanced reporting, inventory, labor scheduling, etc. all live on the cloud. If the internet goes down, your local Xenial apps keep running the store and sharing order information for up to 30 days. Best of all, all the local functions exist in the apps. That means you can even run end of shift and end of day reports without internet. There are no POS servers with Xenial. Local apps talk to each other and the cloud. There are no network servers involved with Xenial in your store. It’s just like your smartphone – easy. Easy, affordable, powerful – that’s Xenial.

Reviews of Xenial Shell

  • Such a great opportunity not yet fully realized

Xenial is so close to being good. They have all the info, structure and bones of a system and are just a few user-benefitting changes that would make this system not only run well but be even more user friendly; and actually , instead of calling them changes they are more like additions/enhancements/tweaks. Some of these slight adjustments would be operational but a most of how Xenial could take this thing to the next level are related to design. The way things move, the feel fonts, font sizes, colors, shapes, customizations, etc. The ability to customize some of the things that are user-facing would be nice.
