2 stars because the initial setup works well. But after the initial setup, trying to use the app to do anything else, it immediately crashes. Looking at other comments — looks like this happens to everyone.

App Continuously Glitches & Closes
The initial part of setting up the phone with both this app & syncing with Alexa app went smoothly. But then as I was close to finishing the app crashed.
After days of trying repeatedly to get the app to work, rebooting my cellphone, removing & reinstalling the app, I still cannot get it to work more than a second before it glitches & closes itself.
I am NOT having issues with any other app on my iPhone, and still have plenty of storage.
Because of this, I cannot add contacts to the Motorola phone. The app is the ONLY way to do so.
The point of the phone was so my grandmother, who is losing her eyesight, can make calls without having to read or dial numbers, but still be able to use her landline.
(Alexa cannot call 911 without a landline, and the phone is what she is used to vs. the Alexa speaker)
Unless they fix this bug, this Motorola phone is no different than her previous phone, & I’m stuck.Show lessaMcDs15
Smooth and Seamless
I had to download the app to setup the new Motorola Alexa enabled phone I got from Amazon. After seeing the other review I was even more concerned it wasn’t going to work. But thank God is was quick, smooth and perfectly seamless. It connected to my Amazon account, Alexa app, my contacts and even downloaded software updates for the app, base and phone. Alexa works beautifully on the phone now. No issues at all!!Show lessj.kai
