Description of CA Standards

The CA Standards mobile app provides quick, targeted access to California content standards. California educators can use the mobile app for quick access to the Arts, Career Technical Education, Computer Science, English Language Arts, English Language Development, Health Education, History–Social Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, School Library, Science, and World Languages content standards they rely on to design the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. Use the app to search, filter, and sort standards to isolate specific content, identify standards common across disciplines, and inform decisions around instruction and assessment. The content standards in the CA Content Standards mobile app reflect the input of educators from across the state, and the approval of the Instructional Quality Commission and the State Board of Education. For more information on standards, curriculum, and instructional resources, or to share ways the app can better support your work, contact Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Division at the California Department of Education.

Reviews of CA Standards

  • Solid content, but now broken

Great to have standards accessible in one place, along with ability to search and filter. Unfortunately the app is now broken — it crashes whenever I attempt to filter on Domain after selecting a category.
  • From stellar to failure

I am a homeschooling teacher. I used this app extensively to be sure I was covering the right areas for my special needs kids. Suddenly the app stopped functioning. It loads fine and lets me choose a subject but as soon as I try to adjust grade level or make any other changes the app closes. It has become completely useless. Even if I don’t select a grade and try to scroll for ages I cannot select anything for more details without being kicked out. I hope it can be fixed because searching each standard online is a lengthy process and it’s effecting my lesson planning.
  • Unable to select anything

There appears to a glitch in the system. You are able to open the application, select the subject area, but that is it. The application closes on itself once you select another domain. This application was so helpful.
