Description of Deals

Being a student is expensive, increasing tuition fees, the outrageous price of textbooks, rent and other monthly bills, all add up fast; that’s why we created The Deals App. The Deals App is run for students, by students, to help make everyday life more affordable while in college and university. Get access to discounts at restaurants, retailers, fitness studios and more, with offers all across BC! What are you waiting for? Download the app and start saving today. With the Deals App, you can: - Search for discounts by location, using the map view - Browse discounts by category - Bookmark your favourite discounts for future or repeated use; - Use your virtual student card to redeem discounts in store and online. The Deals App is a service provided by the British Columbia Federation of Students, in partnership with students’ unions across the province, for post-secondary students in BC. The BCFS offers these discounts to students across the province to help save them money in their daily lives. The Deals App is free for students attending BCFS member institutions as well as UNBC and is available for purchase by non-member students – not sure if you’re a member? Ask your students’ union for more details!

  • Subscription Required

It’s $15 a year, but they don’t tell you that until you sign up. Strange business practice.
  • Has potential but

Even though there is the option to turn on location to “filter “ deals in your area, it still pulls deals from all over the province. It would be more beneficial to be able to search by city and have only those relevant discounts in one’s immediate area and save that search. It would also be beneficial to filter out the online only deals - too repetitive. Otherwise it’s great to have provincially specific deals for post-secondary students in BC.
