Reviews of Practicing Presence

  • Glad to have a tablet version!

I use this app nearly every day on my iPhone, but now it works just as well on my iPad. Having easy access to the Practicing Presence App no matter what the device is so convenient. Now I'm almost never without my favorite meditation and breathing app!
  • Helps reduce my daily stress…

I love using this app for my daily meditation practice. I especially like the fact it sends me reminders throughout the day to take deep breaths. As someone who at times struggles with anxiety, having the notifications remind me to pause and take several deep breaths is big help and provides some relief. And it’s good to know that meditation can be practiced throughout my day, and not only when I have time to sit and relax.
  • Cc in your videos

Just downloaded your app, and starting to use it. Would recommend that all videos include Cc as some may have hearing issues. Ordered the book after listening to your talk with Lisa Heckaman which had cc. Your opening video on the app did not. I am a follower of Richard Rohr but am looking for a more structured approach to contemplative meditation as I struggle with just being still.

    Developer Response

Thank you Tsplayt, for your feedback. We will work on adding closed captioning to all of our videos and making our tools for Choosing Presence even more accessible to everyone... We're also enthusiastic followers of Richard Rohr and the teachings of the Center for Action and Contemplation. And we hope that Choosing Presence and the Practice of Presence does help you develop a structured approach to contemplative prayer and meditation.
