Love Krugerexplorer
The Krugerexplorer app is just brilliant. Myself and family have recently returned from a 10 day trip to KNP and we found the app engaging and informative.
We loved ticking off the sightings and seeing how many animals we’d seen. It’s great to sit and watch the animals and then read all about them. The kids especially enjoyed this aspect which very much brought the Bush to life.
Furthermore, having access to the routes and other information such as what to do when meeting an elephant on the road is very helpful.
I’d say the Krugerexplorer App is a must for both Kruger first timers and veterans alike.Show lessRuss Dawson
Great for identifying animals
I like the detailed write ups of the animals and the identifying features. Pictures are spot on. The app is good too because it blocks people from sharing locations of endangered species susceptible to poachers (e.g., Black Rhino).wadirumdriver
All you need for a visit to Kruger
The perfect guide for Kruger. It saved us so much weight vs carrying physical guide books. That alone made it a godsend. It’s detailed without being fussy and taught us so much about not just the animals but the geology that we drove through too. It made our trip so much more enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone but especially to people self-driving in the park.
Now we’re home it’s making us miss the adventure already. We can also see how much we have left to explore. Our daughter loves the pictures too and it’s unexpectedly come in handy as an educational tool for her as well. Now we just need to find a way to get her to put it down...Show lessBokke19
Don’t hesitate! Download! It’s amazing.
I live in UK and was in Kruger in may (it was my first time). Even though I probably won’t be back for at least two years (due to skiing holidays and a theme park obsession (cedar point👌), I bought the app straight away. Maybe because I’m missing Kruger, but also because I wanted to look at the map section and animals section.
I have to admit I was thinking about the price (£9.99 in UK) maybe a little high, but I went for it and so glad I downloaded. It’s amazing!
The detail in the app is incredible. Info on animals is more than I thought. And love the map section. Not sure if it can GPS locate you over the map or if it’s just to look at though?
Overall , even though I won’t use it in Kruger till I next come, I recommend the app to anyone in Kruger or not.

Very detailed planning info
Still going through it as a load of content here...if planning your trip to Kruger, this will prove to be very useful. The maps are superbly detailed and custom made. A tonne of photos to help you identify species (mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates, flora and fauna) along with detailed write ups on behaviour, diet, physical characteristics, where to find, etc.
My kids like to read about the animals. You can also use the app to list locations of animal sightings.Show lessKdawg01155

Highly anticipated the launch of this app and downloaded it straight away - the imagery is incredible, navigation very straight forward and the information very interesting and digestible. I am part of this group on Facebook and expected the App to be interesting but really impressed with how much content is included in this app! The animal profiles are fascinating, the photos are also beautiful and it's really simple to use. Surprisingly in-depth and useful
So impressed with this app. The amount of content is impressive. The hundreds of animal profiles are well-written and detailed all with beautiful photographs to help with identification. Superb
This is worth every penny - downloaded one of the cheap Kruger apps for a trip last year and was very disappointed so was excited to see on Instagram that someone was bringing something new out. This app is excellent and contains a huge amount of information, useful and interesting even for us as regular Kruger visitors.
