  • Hopeless organization scheme.

This app was presumably designed by someone who never buys car parts. It’s organized not by what car you’re looking to find parts for, but by... what kind of part. So you can’t narrow it down by make or model; if you want a starter and a radiator you have to wade through all the starters to find one that fits your car, then wade thru all the radiators. If you want to know what’s available for your car, too bad, what kind of part do you want? We have engines. Would you like an engine? It’s just mind-boggling that they would choose to sort by part type rather than by what the part goes in. Why!? Do they think I’ll buy any old fuel pump just because it’s a fuel pump?

Also there doesn’t seem to be a way to sort by distance. Shipping is fine for a taillight but if you’re buying an engine you probably want a local one, right? Too bad.

So you can’t sort by car and you can’t sort by location. Which are pretty crippling things to not be able to sort by.

Apart from that it seems like a good and functional app. But it’s designed by someone who designs apps, not someone who mainly works on cars. It’s nice and snappy and clean-looking but the fundamental assumptions they made on how people would use it were, ahem, a little out of touch.
