An internet connection is not required except to display maps and to download database updates. Each entry contains a review, photograph, nearest public transportation, contact info, website and twitter handle for each pub. Check the pub's twitter feed for news without leaving the app. A map will show the location of the pub as well as nearby listed pubs. Your app is always up to date as database updates are downloaded periodically.
