Computer APP

Works great, lots of nice animation and graphics, but would be nice to have ability to sign in via laptop and export data.

Very helpful app

The app is very helpful and useful. It tells you what is going on electrically within the house and the solar panels. The ability to tell when something is using. A lot of electricity is very helpful. Is usefulness would be perfect if it wasn’t for the fact, it takes a while to get an answer. Sometimes it takes quite a while maybe 30/42 seconds. Sometimes what you’re trying to understand changes in that timeframe. Even with the slow reaction time, the application is very helpful. It allows you to make decisions based on data.

App Progression

I have been using this app for several years now. In the beginning, the app was limited but still provided great data to keep you informed. The latest app changes/updates have been amazing. It’s nice to see that the app devs have been listening to the user base. Being able to see the power output and health status of my panel array and switch between system modes while away for the house is amazing. I now have full control of my home energy and emergency back up plan. Keep up the good work. Keep up the good work!

Great feature that only works in theory

The power always seems to fail late at night. I thought the new feature of making the system switch from the mobile app was an answer to that problem. It’s not, because it doesn't work! I have a 99.5% battery charge, but I would have to go out in the dark and rain to mess with the inverter. The point of this expensive system is that it should just work automatically or at least provide a level of convenience with turning on the system.

Ok, but needs much improvement in todays world of tech

So first off, I will say this app does everything it says - you can view how things are preforming, that’s about it. Monitor data real time but it is not very user friendly. I would love to be able to access my inverter through this app and use it as diagnose or use it for set up, even change modes for battery back up remotely. Voltage/wattage production per/panel would be nice to track as well I just think there are a lot of things they could improve on.

Update! - they have really updated the app. Everything can be controlled now as far as remotely. very impressed with what you can do. I am still disappointed that you can’t see if there are issues with the system that you would have to go outside and actually look at the panel. There’s no way to tell there’s no remote diagnostics, you can run

PWRview must improve so badly now!

I know you have a almost many years promising a good upgrade. You do not integrate the PWRview dashboard from web to app. So this good info is lost. I do not know status and history of PV Link since you eliminate the web dashboard. You eliminate the borders of the circle you created before. The app is difficult to find specific long past date, example: the net power from Jan 1, 2022. It is too general info. I need to use excel and a calculator to analyze more info instead of the app.

Customer Service

It has taken months to get my solar power system up and running in an efficient manner & as of this review there are still problems with my system. The communication is horrible. Appointments aren’t properly confirmed, a panel isn’t positioned correctly, the batteries either doesn’t fully charge or are discharged in a short period of time after the sun goes down and my overall cost for electricity from the grid has & is increasing. I believe the major concerns are the batteries & some of the PV links aren’t performing properly. And last but not least better communication is necessary.

App not working

I’ve just recently had a solar system with all Generac components installed. The system is working great. The PWRview was working great till yesterday. When I log into the app it says “unable to load data” I called Generac customer service and they were not able to figure it out after being on hold for almost an hour. It currently is still not working(the app). It was a great tool and I checked it everyday once it was up and running. So far nothing has been done to resolve it.

Not with the times

Cannot switch modes from app must contact service team and wait up to 3 days to 2 weeks. If need to switch modes you have to go outside. Controller not easy to use as well. Not a simple Design. Generac says it’s in the works but 1year later no update. So if you in a market of a battery Tesla is a great option. But Generac got it right by simple cell swap. It’s been a year people. I’m for hire and can get this online within a year.

Unstable product - horrible service

Between the dealer and Generac nobody is accountable for addressing problems. Inconsistent direction, poor execution and lack of knowledge are the three key attributes of working for their support center. I truly regret doing business with Generac.
