Description of BrightArrow Mobile 2.1

BrightArrow Mobile 2.1 for iOS provides a fast and convenient way to not only launch automated messages (voice, text, email) to lists of recipients that are configured using the BrightArrow Web subscription, but also to receive and view these messages. The app makes use of special features of the iPhone and iPad for streamlined recording and launching of instant mass notification messages. Specifically, the built-in microphone of the iPhone and iPad makes it much faster to create a recorded message than Web users who must record through a phone call. Similarly, playback of a recorded message to the iPhone or iPad speaker allows for a much faster preview, and the date picker control provides for easy selection of message transmission time. This new version also allows users to post social media messages on their Facebook and Twitter accounts as configured through the Web interface. A unique feature to the app is push notifications; users can now send and receive app push notifications as they would any other message type. BrightChat is our automatically configured, two-way instant messaging app used by teachers, coaches, and administrators to send messages to parents, students, and staff. By using the mobility and power of the iPhone and iPad, the BrightArrow Mobile 2.1 app delivers a greatly optimized approach for school districts, government agencies, nonprofits and other organizations to create, launch, and receive notifications for emergency, urgent, and everyday communication. • Not user friendly, makes it even harder to communicate with parents

This app is very hard to use. It’s not intuitive at all. It just sent a message intended for last week and now I’m getting parents sending me emails because they are confused. I cannot send a picture to my whole class. It’s very frustrating and makes communication more complicated which is the very thing it’s supposed to help!

  • Unreliable. Can we go back to Remind?

So unstable. Not only so, but unsafe! They just send you your password when you go through the “Forgot your password” option. That is against everything in current cybersecurity standards. How did Apple even approve this junk for the App Store?
  • Unreliable. Can we go back to Remind?

So unstable. Not sure why the school switched.
