Best Mobile Rhythm Game Ever!
If your a person who likes rhythm games, this would be for you. As a person who’s been playing rhythm games for a long time, this was an upgrade for me from Magic Tiles 3. There a huge variety of songs and I like a lot of them, their also challenging somewhat. If your a person who plays on a high level of rhythm with speed, this would be great as for me I hate it when it’s slow, so they have an option where you can adjust the speed of the game + it actually gives you a challenge, each map is different with different notes.
Not to mention, it’s just really fun. However, there are constantly a lot of ads, which I don’t mind but if you don’t like ads constantly appearing, it might be a struggle. It also does need wifi, because when you play the map, they play the songs audio or official music video on display so you can see while playing. If you have a hotspot or cellular data while your out, this would be fun to play on the road or anywhere.
Overall, I really love the game and hopefully this helps you decide whether you download the game or not. Whoever made this, great job!
Unfortunately has nothing on the original tap tap games
Problems with this game:
1. There are very few genuinely hard songs to play. Even on 4x most of the songs fall short of being difficult. And they also miss out on using the instrumentals as game beats and focus heavily on vocals, making many songs that would be difficult quite easy.
2. The lives system. Even with VIP you only have 1 life for a song. Now funnily enough this isn’t much of a problem because as I said the majority of songs aren’t difficult. But it’s simply bad design. The original tap tap games just penalised your score but this makes it really annoying to enjoy the game.
3. Speaking of scores: the songs don’t focus on high scores nor are there global leaderboards to compare your performance with other players (all things in the old tap tap games) - this makes the replayability of songs pretty low.
Pros:
It is still fun to listen to music and hit beats and the visuals design of the game and the added “3d” beats are good.
But I wish this felt as well thought out as the old games. Feels like a mediocre evolution that’s simply focused on monetisation and lazy beat design.
I’m surprised at highly rated this game is but I imagine most players are new and don’t know the origins.
