Leave a Review The White Door
I felt a BIG feeling finishing this story.
I’m a new father of two. My three year old daughter was diagnosed with nonverbal autism and it has been extremely challenging for my wife and I. Often to a very close to terminal mental point with me personally. I’ve been going through a host of emotions I’ve never had before and I’m not self aware enough to notice them. When the events started happening in “The White Door” chapter of this game, I completed the entire remainder of the story with my face absolutely drenched in tears. I identify with the main character in a massive way, but for a different reason and the ending was absolutely perfect for me. I get it. Rusty Lake is the GOAT for this one. To everyone saying this RL game was short, that means you weren’t paying close enough attention to the intricacies that existed! From switching between YT and Insta and completing hacks, besides the basic storyline, this game took me 3 extra hours to complete because I didn’t want to miss any hidden details!
If you have any complaints about how short everything felt, my best suggestion would be to go back and make an effort in searching for hidden achievements/levelsShow lessIt’s a Nope from me
I have all the Rusty Lake games to date, & have replayed them all numerous times. I love the challenges, the Rusty Lake quirkiness, and the care the developers put forward in each game. I appreciate that they tried something different in The White Door, but frankly, this game was repetitive, boring, and not challenging at all. The puzzles were simplistic. I know a lot of people gave TWD high ratings, but if those familiar with the RL world were truly honest about it, they would have to admit that this was a pretty insipid installment. If you remove the Rusty Lake banner from TWD and rate it objectively, even die-hard fans would have to say this game has little going for it. The developers’ effort is appreciated, but The White Door was a real disappointment for me.Show less
