An Honest App, Sharesheet support, Save to Photos or Files
» Its claim as a free app hold true
»» You can volunteer to send a small remuneration
»» This optional gift notice is tucked away in the settings and not somewhere intrusive or regularly reminded about
»» genuinely free as in not holding customers to watch any adverts
» It complements the native IOS crop feature
»» enabling precise cropping with dims for selected area, other area, and new area if cropped, available in real time
»» crop from all sides (crop), horizontal and vertical at any point including inside (crop & ‘split’)
»» crop to a high degree of accuracy, by 1 pixel, zoom to get greater flexibility in the minutiae. Min crop length is ≈ 4px
» Open images from Photos or from Files, which are also options for saving
» Merging is perhaps its best feature which isn’t natively available as an official tool without using Shortcuts with its clunky non-visual merge images action that’s not dynamic
»» allowing seemingly unlimited merging vertically
»» techniques to merge without a seam
»» append to below or above
»» fade images at the merge edge option
» Full Sharesheet support with a bonus I use all the time, some apps do not appear in the Sharesheet eg. images via a browser or after markup, SplitCrop does, and without editing you can share to those apps because it shares the widely compatible PNG/JPEG extensions, Apple hasn’t provided a means to manage Sharesheet apps when you share.
Two improvement notes
Give the option to always show the info window which can disappear while using the crop handles
Support for horizontal cropping enabling merge as a grid (I need to use Shortcuts for this), without resorting to rotating images to 90deg before you add them
