I can see from reviews that this was an issue that the developer said they were addressing nearly a year ago. It’s still not fixed.
While I appreciate the developers response that they don’t misuse photo access, their word is not enough. This should be a quick and easy fix in swift. Please get it done.
The iOS app is severely limited to the point where you question if it’s still even actively being worked on. How do I view evaluations in app? The workaround is to view on web and to turn the phone to landscape. This seems like basic functionality and based on the iOS app’s update cadence, I’m not holding my breath the app will ever have feature parity to the web app.
Recently, the app has been none responsive upon opening. I have to close and reopen the app several times before I could access any of the functions. Sometimes I cannot get it to respond at all. My child is hospitalized and I can’t communicate with his teacher or check notifications from the school. Hope this gets fixed asap.

This past school year that we’ve been using the app, tapping on the download button for pictures/videos was extremely challenging, like playing the kids game of Operation. That issue and the overall functionality of the app has improved with the recent bug fix but it still gets buggy from to time. For example, currently, I’m unable to download videos.

Tapping on pictures or hearting something is finicky, sometimes not working or lagged by a second or two. App hasn’t been updated in a long time.

The download function does not work with access to “Selected Photos” either. No other iPhone app, including competitor apps like Brightwheel, has this invasion of privacy to work correctly.
