Babies get very familiar with their moms' heartbeat (most part of the womb sounds) when they are still in the womb and continue enjoying these sounds after the birth. Womb sounds are the best baby soothing sounds. 3. Listening to the babies' heartbeat during their growth is also some kind of care and emotional connection. Compared with a fetal Doppler, Stemoscope has two differences. 1. Stemoscope does not use ultrasound to detect the baby heart beat and it is not a Doppler device, so this avoids potential harm induced by the incorrect use of ultrasound. Baby Doppler use ultrasound to detect heartbeat. Ultrasound can heat the tissue of the body. Inappropriate use of a fetal Doppler may result in harm to the baby. In 2014, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) even issued a safety warning on the use of Fetal Doppler at home.
