Really close to being a great game
I love golf games. I’ve probably played every golf game in the App Store and this is one of my favorites. All the tournaments you can play in and you play by yourself (no opponent). No shot clock. Decent wind and elevation guide. This game as I see it has one problem. And it’s a really big one. Club ranges are no where near right. I know early in a golf game this can be an issue with a limited club selection, but no matter the yardage a club has in this game you are constantly battling with range between clubs. Adjusting for more than 8 mph of wind usually puts you in the next clubs range. If you’re hitting mid distance on a short iron and you adjust for head wind you’ll run into your long iron that will launch your target an extra 20 yards or if adjusted for a tailwind you run into your wedge and now you’re 20 yards short. I’ve tried selecting clubs of the same tier and still they walk all over each other. That being said I still like this game but I hope they straighten this out. It is really frustrating unless you pony up for the low wind balls that dramatically shorten your adjustments. There’s just no good transition between clubs. Good luck to all.Show lessjpbogle
Complicated fun!!!
I loved this game so much!!! I could just cry. I totally got promoted right out of the joy of playing to the point that I deleted it. (even still having premium crap I’d purchased in my arsenal!) Not only could I not compete I couldn’t make a shot to save my life suddenly! I guess I lost my groove. I even went as far as starting a brand new account on another device, but having played like rookie and veteran all through that, I enjoyed it so much that I just couldn’t get into the lower tier stuff. I didn’t even keep that account. I really wish they would stop doing the automatic Monday promotion thing- there’s got to be a more fair system than what they’re using because you go from doing well to not even being able to get on the green and unfortunately, some of us are so mathematically challenged we will never be able to figure out the ring wind thing! Lord knows I tried. I watched videos I read all the Reddit comments I sat there with a notebook even & then I remembered I couldn’t pass algebra either. Lol.
I swear if I didn’t know better, I would wonder if they just mess with you to get you to spend even more money when you’re already it’s like it’s not enough but I’m not gonna go there. I just lost my groove.
Oh well, I found a new game to play but I will miss this one.Show lessJunobat

To be Perfectly Honest, I Really Like the Game (Just because it is one of the better user-friendly golf games out there). However, considering all of the games downfalls makes it difficult to decide whether or not I want to keep playing or just to delete it. The problem is once you play it for a month or two, and you level up several times, the wind meter is only accurate once in a while and you never know win so if you use the same tactics every hole, you will get a different result every time. If you don’t have a ton of money to spend on custom golf balls, or upgraded clubs, then you will NEVER be competitive. It is so frustrating to know that you are a capable player, but if you took the same hole, the same ball in the same club and you hit it exactly the same way four times in a row you will get a different result, each time, which makes it very inconsistent, taking the fun out of it. They have been made aware of this for months and they choose to keep it the way it is. I guess they make more money this way.. I will no longer be giving them any of mine.Show lessMorbius551
