Reviews of The FA Player

  • Problem after update

Since the update, I’m not able to stay signed into the app. If I close the app it will sign me out.
  • Login system

It’s been awhile and a better login system is needed for the app. It’s still early in the season, so I will wait to see what content is made available before commenting further, but typically it was good in the past.
  • Jason’s review

Overall the site is really good. I’m in California in the USA and I love being able to watch all of the WSL and championship games. There are a few bugs or issues I have. I think the biggest one is when you put the final score in the description of the highlights or full game. In other words, if I come on to see a game or to see highlights I don’t wanna know who won just by looking at the title of the highlights or the game. So, please, put more neutral pictures, another words don’t show one side cheering, and please don’t put the score in the description of the highlights or the full match. I’ve watched almost every game from both leagues for the last 2 1/2 years. Mostly, the ones I skip are the ones I accidentally see the score. I don’t really wanna watch the game if I know what happens. This is probably a budget thing so I’m not sure if there’s anything you can do. But sometimes I’ll go to the highlights, especially for championship games, when there is no commentary. Sometimes it doesn’t bug me because I’ll be doing something else and it’s kind of like being at a game. But, if it’s possible to get commentary for all the league cup FA cup and championship games I think that would be good. Again, I don’t know if that’s feasible right now but I hope it is. And I have often found that when the game ends and i go to the scroll menu on the right side of the screen to pick the next game,, it can be confusing. And if my memory is serving me it’s confusing because chronologically I think you wanna start at the top of the scroll and work your way down. But when you finish your game it will automatically move you up the scroll. That’s not usually that big of a deal except sometimes the commentators were all announce scores from other games and as I said before I don’t wanna watch a game if I’ve already heard the score. Which actually brings me to the last problem I can think of. Most of the commentators that talk about other games or just blurt out the scores. That is really annoying! This happens in a lot of different sports so it’s not just on the site. But there are a couple commentators it was a spoiler alert or give a warning that they’re about to talk about other games. I think the commentators work for this site so if that’s true, if you could just pass the memo to have them give a shout out before they’re gonna give away the scores of other games that would be really nice. And finally, while I have written this long review that may make it seem like I really don’t like the site… Overall I really loved it. I like some of the insights I like the player games. And questionnaires in the side videos that aren’t games. I like being able to CFA games and league games and obviously I like watching a WSL. I’m a huge and WSL fan and it’s nice to see women’s football around the world. I like the two sisters that have a championship show although I miss them doing the WSL show.

But overall this is a really great site and thank you for putting it on. I think everything is basically the same as when I sent the first message. I just don’t like finding out the score before I actually watch the highlights of the game. It makes me not want to watch the game. And if at all possible, it’s nice when there are two commentators because they can work together and play off of each other‘s stories and ideas. Also, it’s probably a money thing, but if we could have a commentator for every championship game, or at least post, the score that would be nice. But overall, I really enjoy the site!!
