At first, the app didn’t sync properly with the smartwatch that we were using this app, requiring us to try to set options before it had even synced to the watch. This was really annoying, as you would have to close the app down to get it to set any of the options for the watch.
Recently though, with an update that fixes most of the problems we encountered, namely the syncing of the watch to the phone via the app. The app now makes it possible for you to actually save data to the app and track your collected data on the app. Even to use the app’s buttons to trigger the corresponding features on the watch like heart rate and body temperature monitoring.
However, the app still has flaws. The one major flaw is that it doesn’t save your sleep time for someone like my mom, and for me, it saves my sleep time, but with incorrect times. For example, the app says I went to bed at midnight one day this week, but that day I pulled a late nighter that actually saw me going to bed around 3 AM. Although, I can’t fault the app solely on this issue. I believe it is a combination of the app and the watch that caused this inaccuracy.
Therefore, I can only rank this as a 3 out of 5 stars, in good conscience. It still has a few issues, like sleep analysis and forcing a pop up that asks you every time you open up the app to change location sharing to always on. I refuse to turn it always on, which I just use it in an “On while app open” state. That should be sufficient since I don’t use the app nor the watch for weather monitoring or tracking my workout runs or walks.
