Description of Eternal Flow Dub

If you like dub techno music, you can turn your phone into endless dub techno "mix" or "live" generator. Just turn it on, press Start and listen as a usual player, but music will never end. Main theme or "track" will change in every 3-4 minutes automatically. All music is created right on your phone so it can work offline without internet connection. - To switch to next track tap Reset button. - To record/stop recording created music tap R icon. - If you like current loop and want to listen to it for a long time, press snowflake icon - loop will freeze and instruments and patterns will not change until you tap snowflake again. - If you want to postpone next track's start tap on plus icon and current track's time will be increased by 64 bars. - Also it has "mute" feature - tap on gear icon and you can disable chosen instruments and use app as a chord generator, for example.

Reviews of Eternal Flow Dub

  • Unique and interesting!

This is one of the most interesting apps I’ve run across in recent years! It generates unique sounds at the touch of a button. I can play with this thing for hours!
I’m just wondering if there’s any way for me to record a wav file from this app, so I can use it in my music production. Is the app developer there listening?
  • Sonic Wizardry!!

Eternal Flow Dub (EFD) and the three other similar apps are some of the best generative music apps I have ever experienced on iOS! EFD is probably the best $5 I have spent on the App Store in a while. I had to purchase the rest of the series after playing with EFD for an hour. The synthesized sounds (everything but sampled snares and hats) are able to create a complete mix of the Dub genre. Amazingly, the sound quality is almost club ready and feels professionally programmed and mixed. There is swing, fills, solos, etc. all tastefully thrown in and out of the mix to create variation and movement that has a “human” feel more like a real Dj and not AI.

Very impressed at how the mix continuously changes in a Dj style to a new mix. It honestly feels like you are listening to a Dub radio station. As a sample generator to feed into other apps, EFD shines as you can mute tracks and export the results. EFD is like having a clinic on how to create a base Dub track to fuel your inspiration.

Wish list- 1) IAP support would make life easier. 2) AUv3 support would be better if the audio engine could support it. 3) Stem export would save time. 4) MIDI export would also be welcomed. 5) A full mixer section beyond track mute capabilities. 6) ability to program/play with the synth engine. 7) Key signature adjustments to the arrangement.

Bottom line- EFD, Eternal Flow Acid, Eternal Flow Techno, and Eternal Flow Drone are each examples of sonic wizardry that is mind boggling. Kudos to the developer!
