Unusable back or exit button

Love the desktop version but the mobile app works for a while then moves the back or exit “X” to the top left of the screen, behind the iPhone time, making it impossible to click. Unusable until this is fixed.

Does not work.

It was ok on IOS 17. Keeps crashing on IOS 18. Have been unable to use the app at all.

Unusable Unfortunately

Just crashes, and screen redraw rate is terrible when zooming. Using an iPad Pro 13 m4.

Good but not good enough

I have been a long user of ON1 but as a iOS developer myself, this app is extremely disappointing and has nowhere near the functionality it should have compared to the basic photo editors available nowadays. I myself have waited many years in hope that this app would eventually become great but sadly apart from adding camera support and AI not much has ever been added. I would have expected to see more FX options by now and many more presets including the ability to use the ones we make in ON1 Desktop. It saddens me that development just doesn’t seem interested in mobile users in a world that is increasingly mobile. Please please please start spending more time developing this application. We would all be ever so grateful.

Sometimes it lets me edit photos

Bought a lifetime license, excited to replace the Lightroom ecosystem with this one because of mobile. On iOS18 I spend 15 min editing a photo and when I tap back to my photo library to start the next one it crashes. All my edits lost. This is on a fresh install of the app, on a 2 month old iPhone with barely anything on it so I hope it’s not that inefficient at managing cache. Also if I go into the settings of the app it’s not properly designed for the iPhone notch so the top navigation becomes unusable. I could understand if it was 2017 but not in 2024. Hope some major improvements are coming and they’re not wasting all their time on AI before they make the existing apps decent.

A Perfect App for Art and Photography

I have been using ON1 software for many years and now this incredible company has an IOS app. The implications are huge in especially the Raw format founder: but if you use only one feature, the HDR is unrivaled. Plus the option for 4x enlarged files is nearly available while saving. The ability to adjust everything possible is also great… but I know that it’s the highest quality and most exacting coding written in the app that makes this far superior to the many others. If you want to maximize the amazing photos taken from and by your iPhone or iPad… ON1 is especially a photographer’s best option for all considerations. The price and the plethora of training videos and more make this my favorite app for all the right reasons

How frustrating

I just want to edit my photographs without having to pay a godforbid SUBSCRIPTION. I thought this would give me a break. The image is so stupidly small when I trying to edit and resize. Why would I like to resize it when I can hardly see it. Soo annoying. I need to pay a subscription to remove the dust spots. Just buy the free version of light room or even the stock apple photo editor is better than this.

Massive Let-Down

I’ve been an ON1 user since 2018 on a Mac and every year I hope their latest release does enough to break me away from my Adobe account/subscription and every year they fail. Why? Not because of the desktop app, it has matured massively and has plenty of tricks to shame Adobe. No, it’s the complete disregard for this mobile app and the so-called Cloud Sync platform which is pretty much useless. Every time I think I’ve nailed it and got things working it glitches and then the sync goes out of sync.
I don’t know how many times I’ve got to the last bit of an edit on the iPad (M1 Pro version) and it crashes losing all edits.
I’ve had many direct support emails and said on numerous occasions, how they need to show the same love to this app and sync as they do to the desktop, the fact that I’m writing this review 6 months after the last app update gives some testament to the fact they don’t really care about this which is a real shame. Not a day goes by without another email in my inbox giving me some new feature or idea on the Desktop but not once have I seen anything about mobile or sync :(
My current licence runs out in October and I think this year will be the one where I don’t renew it.

Denning

This editing app is quite good. It compares well to most iPad editing applications.
