Description of Deathtrap Dungeon

Deathtrap Dungeon is an interactive video realisation of Ian Livingstone's multi-million selling classic gamebook starring Eddie Marsan (Fast & Furious presents Hobbes & Shaw, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde) as narrator. Presented in a similar way to the BBC's Jackanory/Bedtime Stories, or Jim Henson's Storyteller series, the game features nearly 5 hours of video and takes the player through the devious labyrinth of Baron Sukumvit, full of tricks, traps and loathsome monsters on a quest to escape the dungeon.

Reviews of Deathtrap Dungeon

  • Awesome

Purchased the day it released looking forward to seeing more of this game
  • Great

The closest video game to the real thing. Some things I. Battles get repetitive but it ok. Keep up the work and hope for more.
  • Great narrative rpg

If you are a fan of D&D or just great story telling ( albeit linear in some aspects) this is a fantastic adaventure where your decisions will determine your fate within the narrative. You start with a few choices of your character like strength, stamina, and luck all of which determine how well your situations will turnout. After you generate your character and a few settings the story begins as you make your way into the dungeon. The game puts you into many situations where you decide whether to engage in or not, and every outcome from each will either reward you with treasure and skill points or they will harm, hinder , or result in you untimely demise. Every outcome is determined by a virtual roll of dice so no two play thoughs will be exactly the same. The game itself does have multiple paths to get to the end of the adventure so replaying will be worth your while.
