Description of Lagrange

Lagrange is an AUv3-compatible synthesizer that makes sound creation easier by hiding complex parameter adjustments behind oscillator algorithms. # Universal App This product is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and Apple Silicon Mac. Please note that it is not compatible with Macs with Intel CPUs. # Audio Unit Extensions (AUv3) This product supports only AUv3 plug-in format. You can use this AUv3 Plug-In in a host application that supports AUv3. # Notes - Note that depending on the parameter settings, loud sound may be produced. - This product can be installed on iPad, iPhone, and Mac computers with Apple silicon (M1, M2). It is an iPad and iPhone app that can run on Mac computers with Apple silicon. It cannot be installed on Mac computers with Intel CPUs. - This product supports only AUv3 plug-in format. Other plug-in formats are not supported. It can be used with AUv3-compatible DAWs. - This product is not suitable for the purpose of accurately reproducing the sound of acoustic instruments or other synthesizers. It has been developed with a focus on creating the sound of this synthesizer itself. - This product does not support MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression). - Because the details of sound creation are hidden within the oscillator algorithm, fine-tuning the sound is more limited than on other iceGear synthesizers, resulting in less sound variation. This is a result of the emphasis on the simplicity of simply selecting an oscillator algorithm, rather than adjusting a number of knobs to find a sound from a vast array of possibilities. - This product mainly contains basic presets that are useful as a starting point for sound creation. Please note that there are no huge amount of presets. Enjoy making sounds. # More information More information, videos and manuals are available at: https://icegear.net

Reviews of Lagrange

  • Fully functional auv3

Not the best sounding synth imo but this is a fully functional auv3 unlike a lot of the other synths on the market so 5 stars!
  • Fantastic Instrument!

Iceworks has become my favorite soft synth designer. The interface is wonderful to interact with and the sounds are lush and deep. Between Lagrange and Nambu, I feel like I can cover all the sounds I like.
  • Great synth, but if I may….

This synth is fantastic, I love a synth with a lot of oscillator types, this is my favorite synths from this developer ( I do wish Cassini was still supported and given the auv3 treatment but that’s another story ) the routing is great and adds more depth to the presets, which is the weak link. While I prefer programming my own presets, there are others who may not and 30 presets is simply not enough. Although the routing options gives presets more sonics , it still needs to include a lot more presets for people who might not enjoy coming up with their own presets like some of us do. Id say at least 128 if not 250 presets and a more robust browser would be great….or, and Id like to see this more than more presets, a Randomizer button. That would really be awesome, where you can set a percentage of up to 100% of the parameters to be randomized. Or even sell presets expansions via iap. Again, no complaints about the synths and personally I’m ok with making my own sounds, it’s really fun but I’m thinking of others who just want to spend time picking sounds over programming. Anyway that’s my 2 cents.
