LAN issue
When I’m paying 30$ per year for this app, and best practice is to use a lighting console in an environment without internet access, having the app constantly trying to check if I have the subscription becomes a barrier for use. Each time I want to use it, I have to remember to turn off WiFi/or switch networks, load the app, hit “restore purchases”, then again reconnect to the lan network my console is on, and then finally I can use it. There has got to be a way for it to check maybe once a month? Maybe have it check in, and if the user has a valid subscription, set a variable in the app to the date their subscription would expire or renew. If the app sees the variable and the date stored in the variable has not been reached, keep it enabled. If the variable has a date that has passed, for it to check if the subscription has been renewed and update the variable. That way, you only need to check in with the server every once in a whileShow lessDeveloper Response
I understand your frustration, it frustrates me immensely. This is a bug that I have been chasing to quite some time, but it only presents for a few people, and I haven’t been able to replicate it at my end. Also, subscriptions are managed by Apple so there is only so much I can investigate. The work around seems to be to delete the app and all your devices on the apple id then re-download the app. I understand this isn’t ideal and if it doesn’t work, please contact me at lightingremotes.com Kind Regards, TrentThe best app for the eps family desks
I used this app daily personally as a tech but also implemented it into a venue throughout the iPads. The use of magic sheets is incredible tooEos Remote
As a programmer, this is a valuable tool, but it seems to be missing 1 key ingredient. There is no live table to be found. I still have not found a way to reference feedback from a fixture. A live table or live summary would be necessary for this to function on a movie set!Developer Response
I understand and I wish that I could provide this functionality. Unfortunately there is no way at this time to get the required data and stay in sync with the console/s. Maybe it would be worth looking into a compact nomad setup as a solution to your problem.
