Fun game but can’t get player mobile devices to join
Really fun game but can’t get players to join using mobile devices even when we’re all on the same network. However everyone can still play the game just fine without it.Durandrew
Awesome Game-May have to fix the timer
Awesome game. Found the updated version from the 2003-04 version board game. Works well, and some of the comments are from the DVD version.
However, I noticed the you have only 42 mins instead of the 49 minutes from the DVD (or an hour from the VHS version). Also, the timer does stop when the Gatekeeper shows up. The VHS and DVD version, the timer stop. This app, the timer keeps going. If you have the timer keep running when the Gatekeeper appear in the game, extend the time. Maybe to an Hour.Runningfaux

Fave Game - Some fixes needed *READ*
First of all. I love that you made an app for the game. This was my fave game growing up and still is today. Playing through the app though there is a few bugs/flaws though which can be fixed I’m sure.
• The Load screen after character selection took 10 minutes without Wifi (on normal cell service) and the percentage would jump up and down while loading as well. I.e. from 68% to 52% then back to 68% etc
• There was a couple of repeated Gatekeeper scenes. One happened twice in a row. It is Only a flaw because one had a memorable insult repeated and the other one favoured those with even numbers to get keys twice.
There was no music at all between 9 minutes to 5 minutes which at first I thought was deliberate but actually ruins the ‘Atmosfear’ (see what I did there haha)
Gatekeeper came on and said we had 1 minute left when in fact we had 2:30 minutes (silly Gatekeeper with an IQ of a maggot)
Also upon losing the app repeated and started back at the beginning again asking us to roll the dice to decide the chosen one.
If you swipe away from the app for any reason I.e. urgent text or call. The app restarts itself and you can’t resume the time where it left off. I understand that you couldn’t pause/stop the DVD version but a phone has more uses and life happens where you may need to use your phone for something mid game.
You can’t play without Wifi even if it’s locally without anyone joining the game. I feel like a locally loaded version of the game (stored in the app) that you use without Wifi would be amazing and will help with loading times.
There’s no interactive phone moments like the DVD version. Choosing 1 of 6 doors or choosing between treasure chests or which key you want. Seems like a missed opportunity considering this is marketed as an ‘interactive’ version.
I missed the ‘camera’ going through the world of the gatekeeper and at one point going to the realm of one of the 6 characters. (Usually when you choose a door or a character through the DVD)
Having an AirPlay function to put up on a big screen TV would be amazing too.
In saying that. I’m that super excited Atmosfear is back and ready for more awesome updates to the app.
I look forward to editing this review when things get fixed.

this will be my inital opinions. Will do a way better one once i get the board game itself.
First, i actually like the look of the new Gatekeeper. Sad you couldn’t bring Wenanty back. But eh, pickers can’t be choosers.(hopefully if you remake the first four, you can have virtual avatar versions of each host and like the original games, slowly turn from Normal to Monsterous overtime. and bringing back Wenanty for Gatekeeper Prime and Samedi)
The rules are EXACTLY like The Gatekeeper so i’m jealous to those who already have it.
My main thing though is the loading screen after you summon the Gatekeeper and from what other people who tested it out said, it has the same pattern. Not sure if it truly is randomized or already preset.
Anyway, these are my initial thoughts and also an idea for the future should you be able to do so.PhantomChamileon
