  • Perfect Solution for Tracking iPad battery on iPhone

If you own both an iPhone and iPad, you’re probably aware that there’s no way add either device to the native battery widget of the other. Cloud battery solves that. The fact it connects via internet as opposed to Bluetooth allows you to track battery levels from anywhere, which is convenient. When i initially tried the app about a year ago, there were times when it didn’t seem to refresh often enough and would therefore give an inaccurate battery level. Fortunately, it seems like all the quirks have been figured out by the developers, and it now seems to work flawlessly. Great app to have on Apple Watch as well.
  • A buggy mess

Had to reinstall and search for my Apple Watch and iPhone several times to get them to recognize each other. Almost immediately, my Apple Watch started showing as two separate Apple Watches with the same name but with two separate battery levels. Even when I deleted the incorrect one it would reappear every restart. Beyond that, despite the fact that I have the app installed on my MacBook, the MacBook will not show up in the app on any of my devices. I can see my Apple Watch and iPhone on the widget on Mac, but the battery percentages don’t update, so it just permanently displays the original battery life that the devices had when I added the widget.
  • Exactly what I was searching for

I can’t believe Apple hasn’t implemented this as a native app. Oh well, Cloud Battery functions and looks as good as it gets. Only drawback is that devices need to be powered on and or not asleep, which makes sense of course. It would be nice to be able to check laptop battery with it in sleep mode in its bag across the room, but there’s no way to do that. This is an excellent app. The only things I would add are expanded battery data; it would be nice to click on a device and get battery health, total cycle count, percentage of remaining capacity, etc. in addition to battery level and charger status.
