For about two months now, you have been able to decorate your profile with beautiful backgrounds. Maybe you are already one of those who make elo a little more colorful and personal by using them. It’s just a shame that the decorations are only visible in profiles. That’s about to change starting today! New feature: Accessories The name almost says it all. You can express a lot about your mood with beautiful, original, individual, elegant, rare or changing accessories. And that’s what elo is all about - besides playing, of course. Description of elo

elo is for everyone who likes classic games, board games, parlor games, card games or dice games, and all the great games we like to play around a table in the family or with friends.   elo connects people   Playing together is a wonderful way of spending time together. elo overcomes the distance, and if need be, the time too. Everyone forwards the match by a few moves when time allows. This is how you can stay in touch with friends or family.   elo is a variety of games   elo not only has selected beautiful games - all designed with attention to detail and optimized for your mobile gaming experience - but also a large selection. In addition to the over 60 games, one is added every month. Our most popular games are Rummy, Una and Reducto. Our classics are Nine Men’s Morris, Checkers, Chess and Go. At elo there are dice games like TwentyOne or Qwixx, action games like Ubongo or Double, word games and more than just one Trivia Quiz.   elo is played with others   On elo you can take part in tournaments, play at two or more, as a whole family, as a group, on the go or at a party. Open a room on elo, chat, propose games, play series or start the voice chat, and the fun can begin.   elo has a simple pricing model   You can test elo extensively and, if you want, play permanently ad supported. But because we know that many of our users use elo for months and years, we offer a fair monthly subscription that can be canceled at any time or a particularly affordable annual subscription.   elo is developed with passion   We are proud of the quality of our app, which is developed with great attention to detail in Germany, where board games have a great tradition. Reviews of elo

  • Fun!

Great way to pass the time other than doom scrolling. It’s v fun to connect w my friends this way. Chat option is awesome, too. You can have sidebars while you’re playing.
  • My boyfriend and I use this all the time

We love using this on FaceTime for some silly quality time
  • Very vague in subscription description, not what it appeared to be

I will explain the vagueness of the elo+ subscription after I explain what was worse. Basically after the 3 day trial, I was not impressed with what it offered, so I cancelled. But not soon enough I supposed, as apple still took the $50 out of my account…which left me $-49.71 in my bank. I don’t trust apple with subscriptions and other app purchases, so I always lock my card so they don’t take money without me approving it. Doing it all in the background “so I don’t have to be bothered by renewals and approvals” is not okay with me. But I only had $.30 in the bank so I didn’t lock my card because they wouldn’t be able to charge anything with only that amount anyways. But of course…my bank let it through for some reason(even though overdraft options are completely off and not allowed). So now, I can’t put the $20 I have on my card so I can get to work in the morning with an Uber or Lyft, nope…because they would just put it towards the negative balance. So instead, I get to walk 3 1/2 hours to work. I’m hoping a coworker can give me a ride home. So that in itself, totally not cool. That may be more of an apple issue rather than elo. But elo is bad too…here’s why: they were very vague on the information that was given about their subscription plans. There were only 3 bullet points, and one of them was that all matches would be free, even if you had none of their gold nuggets(or whatever their in game currency is called) you would still be able to start or accept new matches. And that so far is correct. I thought that extended to all matches. But I guess the weekly ones are not included. And without realizing it, I spent a whole years worth of nuggets on 3 different games, and only completing one games entire week(you can go back and do the previous days if you missed them and I started on Friday so I caught up on the weeks worth of missed days). I ran out of nuggets with at least 3 days left of the other two games. You don’t get rewards either if you don’t complete the week…so any chance of recouping my nuggets in totally impossible unless i pay more. And they aren’t cheap. This is not clear when signing up. It would be a little less of a blow to take if I actually got everything free. But to be charged a pretty large subscription fee (based on similar games and their yearly prices) and then have to buy more in game currency to play anything other than matches between you and the community, is absolutely absurd. I “reported a problem” with the purchase and I am hoping that apple refunds, because at this point…its not just unfair with the in game currency, but my actual life if affected by this too. Shame on them, shame on apple, shame on my bank for allowing an overdraft when every and any other time it would have declined the charge. Shame on me for not canceling soon enough. Shame on them all.
