Description of Pic

In Pic-N-Clic you use pictures you already have on your iPad to make Picture Lists. You can then record a brief audio message with each picture in the list. When you open a list, the first picture is displayed and the associated audio message is played. Touching the screen moves to the next picture and message. When all the pictures have been displayed, the show starts again at the first picture in the list. You can create lots of Picture Lists, with as many pictures as you like in each one, with a recorded message if you wish. Pic-N-Clic is an App created for children and adults with severe Autism or Cerebral and motor function impairment. The idea is inspired by a little boy called Harvey who has high level cerebral palsy and visual impairment. Despite his severe disabilities Harvey is able to touch a tablet screen, allowing some basic control of an App. Harvey is aware that touching a screen can cause things to happen, so this App has been created for Harvey to operate easily with his limited movement. Options have been included to assist people with poor motor skills, such as pausing a picture until the associated message has finished playing, and also a 'slide-show' option, requiring no interaction.

  • Nice and simple to use - just the job

Great for our son who is able to touch the screen and see the pictures and hear the messages we recorded for him.
Had good fun recording the messages and even had him making some of his own.
Surprised no-ones thought of this before !

We found that most of the photos we use are portrait. Any chance of a future release allowing the screen to present in portrait orientation ? Thanks.
