Each Player dealt five cards to form a hand, and the remaining cards put aside to form a draw pile. Whoever places the highest valued card "captures" the opponent's cards, and the Player defeated started the next turn. Each Player draws one card, each playing turn. If everyone's top card is of equal value, the war battle stars and players lay down 3 cards. The highest total of the cards determines the round winner.
