Handwriting Pro

Great app!

Works great so far -
It is one I will continue to use.

Does not save text.

App opens, can scan handwriting and recognises but there are no options to save the text and no settings available.
Would like a refund as it does not work as advertised.
Sent email to developer but no response.

Response from developer

When you click on share button (top right corner of the screen), you can save the text in files or any other platform.

Powerful but could be improved

Would be great if this app didn’t split text in a different way to what it sees as it takes a bit of formatting afterwards but it’s amazing at detecting handwriting accurately otherwise.

Notes

This is Fantastic. Thank you

Omg

it is Work.

Amazing OCR

This is wonderful! Saves a lot of time versus typing all the text out! Love it a lot!

It’s very helpful!

Unfortunately it gets a 4 star for asking for a review

Most accurate character recognizer I’ve seen!

This app reads handwriting, even in cursive style. With this capability, it actually results in a program that can read font text flawlessly, since fonts are always consistent. It leaves printed font text ocr “ TextGrabber” in the dust with all the other character recognizers 😄.

Insanely good - it’s like magic

I have a lot of handwritten notes from a weekly course and I was wondering about typing them up. I’ve been scanning them using a popular iOS scanning app but it can’t OCR my handwriting (although it does a great job of printed text). I tried a few recommendations from the internet and everything was appalling with handwriting (OneNote, GoogleDrive/docs, 2 other well-known scanning apps). I finally found one iPhone app that did an OK job but was fiddly. And then I found this app. And it’s just unbelievably good in comparison.

I can take a cruddy picture at an angle, in inside light, with a shadow on the page plus my scrawly handwriting. And the results are exceptionally good. Of course there are “typos” and odd words wrong but that happens with good OCR on printed text too. A bit of light editing and my notes are perfect.

The app is ridiculously simple - take a picture, confirm the picture, wait a few seconds, hit “share” to send it to a notes app or editor (I send the text to OneNote) and you’re done.

This has made converting my notes to digital text a reality - I can’t thank the author enough!
