Multitone Messenger
Multitone Messenger provides all the features and advantages of publicly available chat apps with extra functionality, making it suitable for emergency service and business use by enhancing security, improving oversight and adding features, which take it far beyond a simple messaging app.
Messenger is ideal for a number of applications - a collaborative tool for clinical staff in hospitals, enables security teams to share video or photograph images or keep on and off-site colleagues in touch, wherever present in the world.
Multitone Messenger requires Multitone i-Message offered as a secure cloud service, on-premises or cloud/hybrid solution.

Message status
The ability to track message status from ‘device acknowledgement’ upon message delivery to ‘read receipt’ and ‘user acknowledgement’, this guarantees that important communications never go unanswered.
Message priority
It is possible to set the priority level of messages: communications sent at emergency priority will automatically override silent or do not disturb settings. In addition, the Multitone ecosystem will send messages via all designated contact methods for that user - SMS, paging call and email. Emergency messages can be received, even if the phone is in silent mode, meaning Multitone Messenger can complement or replace pagers for critical messaging.
Major incident management
Multitone Messenger integrates with Multitone Major Incident management system enabling rapid response and mobilisation across the whole organisation, specific departments and specialism’s ensuring the right people are alerted at the right time, making sure they get to the right place.
User status
With the Multitone Messenger status indicator, including “available”, “do not disturb” and “absent” settings, you can instantly see who is and is not available. Crucially, whatever your status, this setting never prevents critical messages from reaching you.
Secure & GDPR compliant
Multitone Messenger is designed to be the safest communications platform possible: allowing you to share sensitive internal reports, medical photos and other confidential files without fear of data being compromised. Data stored within the app cannot be accessed by other apps, transferred to internal storage or shared outside the Multitone ecosystem.
Monitored network
A powerful feature is its use of a fully monitored network connection. If a smartphone utilising the Multitone Messenger app should go offline due to poor coverage, messages sent during this period will not be lost: The system stores them so that once coverage is re-established, any missed messages are automatically re-sent.
AES256 Encryption
All data transmitted and stored within the Multitone ecosystem is end-to-end encrypted using AES256, as is data held on devices. The app features two-factor authentication, if the device is lost or stolen, access and details of the device can be revoked immediately, protecting sensitive data.
