Seeing AI is free and actually reads what it scans!
Tried this "free" app about a month ago and SS would not recognize anything but paper currency. There have been a couple of updates since then and decided to give SS A second try to see if it had improved any since the first time. However, it will not work now unless you pay. The least expensive option was about $60 per year at $4.99 Per month for a software which would not read a print letter that the actually free seeing AI app did actually read well. Do you know what they say, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is… Time to hit delete.Show lesstlbarr1

The text reading is ok but limited navigational help & absolutely none for the bar code scan, you have to have a degree of sight to have any chance of knowing where to point the camera. Not all features are available to try in the free version & to have the cheek to request payment to unlock all of these features is ridiculous when there are free & superior alternatives on the market. May be fine for partially sighted but not for completely blind.Show lessBlatz Bee

Regarding the navigational help: We have some ideas on how to improve our navigational help especially for the barcode scan. We are planning to release improvements for that in the next month or so. Regarding the availability of free version: All our features are available during the free trial, but there was a bug that we fixed. We will soon add the feature to recognize UK Pound banknotes as well. We would love you to give it another try. This has been a great app when it works keeps having trouble scanning written notes and every time I open the app I have to restore purchases to use my subscription it’s really getting annoying please fix ASAP as I really like having some independence in my life again thank you xxSammie~Jane
