Not worth it, unless you pay
The game has this thing where it inserts you in the middle of a game, no matter how much time has past. So you might enter a game with fifteen seconds left on the clock. This was fine, except now you need to pay in order to have unlimited games. Otherwise, you only have a couple free games per day. Its really annoying when you only get two free games and one of them is fifteen seconds long. No point in having the app at this point.

Used to be great
I’ve played this game on android for many years. Right before I switched to iOS, Sven updated the look and feel of the game (on android and apple) and moved to a pay to play system. Fine, I’ll pay, I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of wordhero. But I won’t pay for the clunky piece of garbage it is now. Harder to use, less customizable, less clean, bloated. Half the fun was other users and now it’s nearly empty in there. I’d pay to have the old wordhero back.

They broke it
Used to be a great game. The developers after many years of it being THE BEST WORD GAME absolutely destroyed it!!!!!! I’ve played this game on android for over 10 years & since they updated it I can’t play anymore unless u pay an ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS BOGUS monthly subscription fee which NO1 is going to do Sven! I can only hope u bring back the old versions that THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH!!!!!! Greedy sellouts!

My phone just updated out of nowhere and now you have to pay to play. This is the best game so far; I’m sorry, but I won’t be paying for one more thing.
Update: not at $50. No way!
I’ve enjoyed this game for years and I wouldn’t mind paying something for it but it just went from free with ads across the bottom to $50 a year! No way!

Loved this game in android, not so much on Apple. This game worked flawlessly on android and on my Kindle, it looks a lot glitzier or an iPhone, but the looks are really deceiving. Very often my scores are not included in the final score tally at the end. I have to close the app and restart it and sometimes restart my Wi-Fi and then it will recognize my games. And it usually happens when I have a particularly high score. Additionally there’s functionality in the android version that is not present in this version. For example after scores are tallied in android it tells me what percentage I came in, not so in the Apple version.Love the game just wish it worked on my iPhone.

Buggy iOS app and barriers to play
I already paid to get rid of ads on this app but now they’re back and interfering with gameplay. Sorry, I guess I’m done. If I could give you zero stars at this point, I would.
Update has ruined this game
I have played this game for years and agree with others that it is much better on Android. I opened to play today and now am FORCED to watch a video to play or pay for the games I have played for years. Sadly, I opted to delete this once fun, addicting game.
New update issues.
I’ve been playing this game for a long time. The constant bug issues, game freezes never really bothered me, until they changed it to where you now have to either watch videos or pay them to keep playing. For a free game, I didn’t expect perfection. But until they rid it of the constant crashing and freezing issues, not a dime from me.
