Absurd amount of ads
The amount of ads in this app is ridiculous, especially considering how many commercials they run during their live news broadcast. to run a 30 second ad for breaking news as well as weather conditions is just plain greed.
Great for reading, awful for watching
The ads that play before a video are typically 30 seconds in length but the video player plays them repeatedly. I refuse to even try to get through the video ads anymore. Also, if I tilt my phone for full screen the ads start over. I’ve used this app for the last 3-4 years and, in total, I’ve probably made it through the video ads fewer than ten times. I staunchly avoid the videos attached to stories for this reason.

Full of bugs
This app is full of bugs. Stories won’t fully load, so you can only read the beginning half. While watching a video and you turn the screen so that it is full screen, the app will close the video and back to the screen with the headlines. After reading an story, when you back out, it’s jumps up instead of keeping your spot where you were at. This app was great a few years ago. Now it’s just terrible.

Today’s snow storm
This is not a review because I watch Fox 13 every morning to get an idea of the traffic flow in the morning. What I would like to know is why weren’t the snow plows out earlier this morning? I got on the freeway at about 7:45 and only saw 1 snow plow before I got to 106th so. The freeway was an icey ride until I got to the I 15 to I 215 interchange. It took me almost 40 minutes to cross 7200 So. This storm has been talked about and known for about a week? Why weren’t the snow plows deployed before traffic got going?

Ads are a huge problem
I like their content but I finally had to delete because the ads embedded in the articles would open web pages and the App Store with the slightest unintentional touch. I’d emailed them multiple times but the might dollar is apparently more important than your privacy. Most of the crap posted from their poorly chosen ad revenue partner is lowbrow clickbait. Makes the app look trashy. I’m checking out KUTVs app.
