  • Works but pretty clunky

I was able to get this app to work, but had lots of issues. The documentation appears to have been written by a non-English speaker, and many of the controls in the app lead to dead-end text strings like you would see in apps that are under development. Besides the spelling errors, there is inconsistency with the way the controls are placed page to page. For example, the “eye” control used to show hidden text in a field is sometimes to the left of the “x” used to delete text, and sometimes to the right. The most complicated part was pairing, where the step-by-step instructions did not match the controls or LEDs on the transformer.

There are also 2 ways to pair the transformer to WiFi. Easy Connect uses DHCP to request an IP address from your router, and AP mode sets up a peer-to-peer connection between the phone app and the transformer. None of this is explained.

I don’t expect to use the app much, so I can live with the deficiencies, but I hope they clean it up.
