  • Really good, but could absolutely be great if they improve some glaring faults

Big fan of the app, been using it quite a bit the past month. Suuuuper accurate on my garmen r10, better than their software by a wide margin in that regard. But it’s not without its issues. Have had problems with getting it to connect on a few occasions and have had to unpair and re-pair the r10 to my iPad to get it to work.

I also keep having an issue where randomly sessions won’t be saved to the awesome golf database, making it impossible for me to download the stats from the community app after my session. Is this a common issue with any known fixes?

And honestly the clunkiness of the experience post-session is extremely aggravating. It would be FAR more convenient to be able to auto-save session stats locally, rather than hope it saves to your cloud database, and then be forced to open up another proprietary app to download a CSV, to then have to upload that to a third party web app to be able to make any sense of the spreadsheet packed with numbers. It would be fantastic to as be able to open those sessions within the base app to better understand the session and analyze each shot without having to stare at a spreadsheet.

Are there any plans to address these shortcomings?
  • Consistently Unusable

I bought a Bushnell Launch Pro to use with this software. So far these first 8 months I have had to email support every month due to this app saying I dont have a Subscription. I’ll use it one day it works, the next it says I need a sub. No amount of restarting, restoring, or updating fixes this issue. I then email George at Awesome Golf. He emails a few days later saying he fixed it then it works that next time I use it. Then I go back two days later and I’m stuck writing him another email to fix it. Beyond terrible at this point. All other softwares connect with my BLP no Problem. GSPRO, E6, FSX Pro connect flawless. I’m tired of emailing George and honestly, he is probably tired of hearing from me about his broken product.
  • The Best iOS Golf Simulator

This software runs remarkably smooth on my 8 year old iPad pro. I’ve never ran into any technical issues. There are so many different games, activities and practice/training modes. They have fun kid friendly games that my daughter loves to play, blowing up buildings like angry birds and chipping into shark infested pools. They have games I’ll set up for parties where any skill level can have fun. The feedback is always consistent.

I understand this is a small company that is growing, but the only thing I wish it had was online private play vs friends - even for a higher fee! Thank you!
  • No updates / not worth it

They still have the exact same graphics from years ago, if they don’t update the graphics and just continue to still do small bug fixes it’s just not worth it. I have the lifetime subscription and feel let down by lack of updates of courses. Just small bug fixes, etc for years.
  • Run don’t walk away

The app is decent but key aspects are frustrating.
First you must have internet access for the app to work. This presented a problem using it with my Garmin R10, iPad and a BenQ projector wirelessly. The iPad does not have cellular so no WiFi assist and it’s WiFi is tied to the projector so no internet access. I had to hard wire the iPad to the projector which I was trying to avoid but that got it all working.

You can’t do anything in the app unless it’s connected to a launch monitor and the subscription portion is horrible. I paid $299 for their lifetime access and the app has locked me out saying my trial has ended and there’s nothing in the app that enables subscription help. The support page on their website takes you nowhere with no information and the developer doesn’t respond to emails.

I use a lot of apps for sports, fitness and health and this is by far the worst and most frustrating. It’s really unfortunate because the app, for its intended purpose is decent but probably not worth $300.
  • Club distances, skills challenges, target golf

This looks amazing. I am currently gspro user but want to get this for practice especially. My question which is extremely important to me as it is useless to me if awesome golf goes off total and not carry for club distances gapping, skills challenge, and target golf. Closest to the pin I can see total being fine but all should have carry distance or total distance as a choice. So, does anyone know if those 3 things go off carry and not total? Gspro went off total on their club gapping which is useless to me. Gspro has the option of using carry or total on their skills challenge though at least. Any good golfer is only using carry
  • Bored of the 4 half courses

It’s awesome that this app works so well on iOS. No gaming computer needed! The interface is great and so are the graphics. It’s the best experience right now on mobile.

It only has 4 half courses though, so minus 2 stars for that. I definitely won’t pay for the lifetime license, I plan to pay for a couple months until I get bored of the courses.
  • Mixed thoughts

I have the MLM2PRO and I love what the app has to offer but in its current state with my launch monitor I can’t play a single round without a disconnect and losing my current progress in the match. For a 200$ price tag a year for the subscription i was expecting a more less frustrating experience. I really hope there are updates coming soon to work these connection issues out. I keep my phone and launch monitor right next to each other there should be any connection issues. Seriously considering fighting for a refund but when it’s working I love it and it’s way better then the rapsodo app.
  • Good app but!!

I purchased this app last month. I connect via. Garmin R10 launch monitor. Setup is easy, the distance calculation seems off by at least 20-30%. The longer the club the bigger error. It’s not really effective on understanding distance for each club. My biggest complaint is the surprise monthly subscription needed. After a month the app stops working. $199 for a month of use is criminal, just be very aware of what your buying. I’ll look for something else, lesson learnt.
  • Disappointed

Updating my old review. I think I have now had the app for close to two years and the promise of logged shot data before I bought the app has still not been delivered. I feel like I was scammed. The following is my original review -
I am happy with the simulation software but I am extremely disappointed with their customer service. When I bought the software many months ago I was told by their customer service that storing of previous sessions data was coming soon. If that wasn’t the case I would never have paid the high price for this software. How is one supposed to keep track of progress? It’s time for awesome golf to step up and solve this issue. I wouldn’t buy this app until this is implemented. Just my recommendation.
