I started listening AIR at the age of 5 about 40 years ago. There was a hiatus for the last 15 years due to worldly engagements: studies, job, and withering culture of Radio listening and even poor signals and non availability of good Radio sets in Pakistan. Recently i immigrated to USA, one day the whole day long i recalled my childhood friends and hobbies and one of them was AIR. I was wondering how would i be able to listen to AIR in USA, how signals will reach here. Then all of sudden my intuition signalled to search play store, where i got this priceless App. My joy knew know bounds when i got my childhood friend after 15 years. I really love it. It has contributed a lot in making me a good human being, songs old or new from Kl Sehgal, Talat Mehmood, Mukaish, Muhammad Rafi, Lata, to new singers give me pleasure and sometimes moral lessons. I used to listen Sakhi Saheli, Ap ki frmaish on AIR ki Urdu Service when i was a kid and had a small Radio set of National company. Then having a Radio set was considered more privileged than today’s Iphones. The people used to listen to Radio in groups at Deras and Bethaks. Good time was that and good thing never comes back. I am really thankful to one who prepared this App so we can listen AIR across the globe.
