  • Not as good as their others

I thought the game would be an outside-of-the-box puzzle game like most of the others they have made. Although, the art was cool, but the game itself lacked depth in my personal opinion. The story is cliche, the mechanics are overused and lazy, and the game itself seems to be heavily leaning on the art to carry your interest throughout. All the “puzzles” can be solved in less than a minute with just a tiny bit of intuition. I found myself daydreaming about other things as I kept a finger on the screen to keep the main character moving forward.

3 stars simply because of the art and my overall love for Amanita Design.

I hope in the future Amanita Design goes back to point-and-click puzzles like Machinarium or at least something that will have you scratching your head to find the solutions.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

  • Wonderful!

Everything these people do is a work of art, not just the artwork itself but the ideas and gameplay is so off the wall that it completely captivates you. This is one of their best, next to Machinarium, and Creaks, and is well worth playing (maybe nearer to “experiencing”). It’s similar in style to chuchel but much darker (understatement) so if you liked that, you’ll like this.

  • Please

This game is amazing and I love it, but you guys gotta make another horror game! Maybe a sequel?

  • Amanita’s best. Viewer discretion advised.

Happy Game is quite and experience. It has some blood and gore, so be careful. What’s really crazy is the story. I’m not gonna spoil it, but it’s very deep and sad. The game makes even more sense and is even better when you know the story. Some of the flashbacks feel so oddly specific to childhood trauma. Amanita did a brilliant job at making that feeling of nostalgia, sadness, and fear. The whole game hit me really hard, and it’s amazing.

  • 9/10 This is an disturbing masterpiece!

If someone had nightmares like this game, it will be great to feel scared from childhood👍
  • Disappointed

I wanted to like this game but it’s missing the special something the other games offer from the developer.
  • Meh

Art is cool, but don’t look much further. Puzzles are very uninspired and you’ll find yourself at the end much quicker than you’d expect. Was expecting a lot more creativity on this. I think they banked on the dark theme carrying it, but even that was somewhat of a bore. Thankful I got on sale, but regretful I purchased.
